Can this be used with downfiring sub?

Yes. I use it with a REL T9/i Works a treat.

My downstairs neightbours complain about the bass on my onkyo subwoofer. Will this help eleminate the sound to them if placed underneath?

It definitely won't eliminate the sound, but it might help, depending on which sub you have. A downfiring sub may be the worse, front firing shouldn't aim at the walls/corners.. You might have a setting on your AV amp to EQ sound depending on the time of day, my Denon has Daytime/Evening/Midnight mode which curtails it somewhat

what is it's weight capability?

Mine houses a very heavy 18" sub in a box which is 5" wider than the Auralex, - not sure how heavy my sub is (25kg maybe), but the Auralex copes no problem

can I put on that XT8F ?

I can't see a reason why not. You can buy pads for floorstanders in pairs. Maybe a more economical option with the same results.
