Very clean cut leaves with no sticks or debris. I really enjoy using in my tea blends. Will definitely be buying more of their different products.

Gingko biloba has great benefits for brain and body. It's particularly of use for the elderly and for preventing the onset of dementia and Alzheimer's. Gingko has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and circulatory effects, boosting microcirculation in the brain. It decreases blood cell clumping, improves the way your brain uses glucose, oxygen and ATP for energy. It prevents strokes, and delays or improves the early stages of senile dementia. Obviously, gingko is fantastic for memory, concentration, and cognition. Some studies show it helps the symptoms of erectile dysfunctuin, age-related macular degeneration, and depression, but of course this may not be for everyone. Apparently the extract is more potent and effective than the herb, like it often is, but using it in herbal tea formulations may be a great idea for you and your family. It tastes fairly mild, and it goes well with many herbs. I recently made an incredibly effective and delicious tea blend called Brain-Memory-Mood Tea that contains over 13 beneficial herbs and adaptogenic herbs. I made sure to mix in Rosemary, Spearmint, Peppermint, Lemon Balm, St. John's Wort, Lavender, Gotu Kola, Holy Basil, Cacao Nibs, Hawthorn Berry, Rhodiola, and more. Those are among some of the best antistress herbs to use as brain tonics... along with this herb right here, gingko. Ever since ny parents began drinking this tea, they've been hooked, and their memory and health condition has TRULY improved. It's pretty incredible to witness! Update: I forgot to mention that since I first received this bag, the closure has been broken. 2/3 of the top zip does not reclose, so I've had to rubberband it. Since that's a silly way to try to keep herbs fresh, I had to purchase large mylar bags online to put the herbs into... a little disappointed, but easily fixed.

I bought this after noticing ginko as a main ingredient of the "Brain Boost" tea from "The Republic of Tea". I like the smell of this, but when put into tea the flavor is not as strong as I would have liked. I've tried varying the water temperature and steeping time, but it did not seem to make a difference. The Republic of Tea's version is a lot more flavorful, so I am a bit disappointed with this.
