Bought these for my daughter's first pair of earrings after getting her ears pierced. They are absolutely gorgeous and lightweight so they don't hurt her ears.

These earrings were a Christmas gift for my wife. The earrings themselves are pretty decent, though the amethysts are paler than others I have seen (or that my wife already owns). Where this item really falls short is the presentation. The earrings come in a very small plastic zip lock bag inside a cardboard gift box that accommodates earrings and a necklace. I guess this falls under "some assembly required." The cheap box gives your gift recipient the impression that these are dollar store earrings and that a matching necklace should be in there, too. If I am purchasing earrings, I kind of expect a decent quality earring box rather than a generic multipurpose cardboard one.

I'm not an expert on size but these were sooooo much smaller then I expected. The stone wasn't even as large as a pea, so the setting was so small and you could hardly even hold them without feeling like they would drop. Also the stone looked a little scratched and almost looked plastic more then it did glassy if that makes sense. I expected much better quality since they said the retail value is $150. I would hope they are real gold and amethyst as the site and my paperwork say but definitely concerned about it.

The earrings are very pretty, a deep purple color, however, the backs are tiny and extremely difficult to put on. Return service was prompt and efficient although I did have to pay for the postage.

The setting appears to be a snap tite but the saturation of color of the gemstones is really deep purple. I love them and can not beat the price.
