The lights just stopped being bright. There are two settings for light on my microwave and they are both dim. It worked for a couple months, and now it’s just barely visible and the two settings don’t have any difference in brightness for whatever reason. Maybe I had a bad batch, but for now I would just try another brand. Both bulbs are having this issue.

I have tried other suppliers for these LED lamps. I just got this one (2 in package) and installed it into an over range/under microwave fixture. It works perfectly and the light temperature is exactly what I wanted. The one it replaces was more yellow and the illumination faded over a period of a year or so. This one starts out with more of a daylight color and is much brighter. Seems very well made also.

Bought this for my dad. They fit as they should. But for some reason do not turn all they way off. He did not like that so he went and just got regular incandescent bulbs.

Much Less Power Used, MUCH Cooler To Operate! Not quite dimmable though... One star removed because there is a little bit of flicker when dimmed (microwave has a night light function). These fit and function perfectly at full brightness though without creating an excessive amount of heat, which is mainly what I was looking for to begin with. **UPDATE** I have changed my rating on these LED bulbs from 4 stars to 1 star because they both stopped working completely within 3 months of intermittent use (only 4 hours/day average). I suspect it may be because they aren't actually designed to be used on a dimmable circuit, despite the description stating otherwise. I am not going to seek a replacement from this seller, as they will likely fail again for the same reason.

I got sick of replacing the bulb on the over range microwave all the time and the normal bulbs for them are just to expensive and don't last long enough to justify having it. These LED bulbs were the same price as the normal ones but I thought I'd give it a shot since LED lasts longer (typically). I haven't had then long enough to test their longevity. The product description does say they have three levels of light which they do(Low/med/high/off) i didnt think it would work but it did, as the normal bulb just had low/high/off. But the problem I have and made it so that I'll never buy them again is that in the description it said they were very bright... i am going to have to disagree... with the LED on high I would say it's dimmer than the normal bulb on low. I even went as far as removing the glass plate that shields the bulb and it had no improvements. It's very comparable to a 4 watt nightlight when on high. Nothing like the 40 watt incondecent lightbulb that it calls for. I will be going back to the incandescent light bulbs before this LED dies. I will just have to get used to paying $4 twice a year for a light bulb.

Was having problems with halogen bulbs burning out too quickly on the under carriage of the above stove microwave. These bulbs are very well made and at a fraction of the price of in-store bulbs. They are plenty bright and just the amount of light needed. I needed something dimable because my microwave has low and high setting. If yours has a setting like this, you will need a dimable bulb or it will blow prematurely. We'll see if these stand test of time but looking at the quality, I am not worried. I will update this review if I have any problems.

Works as expected. Of course one cannot expect an led to be actually dimmable so they use something call pulse width modulation, which does have a noticeable flickering effect when you move underneath the light. Because they are led, I am certain the longevity is decent even they are left completely on at high. We use our overhead microwave as a sort of night light in the kitchen at night, so the flickering is not an issue. Bulbs screwed in with a perfect fit and they were not too long or anything for the two locations under the microwave. In fact they are a little smaller than the original light bulbs.

[Update: After going through 3 led bulbs for the interior microwave light, all failing in a few seconds, I have dropped a star. It is possible there is something with the MW that is causing this, but the incandescent bulb continues to work and the work light (using the same led bulb replacement) works fine. Great replacement as it is brighter and whiter that the standard 40w incandescent.] These would be excellent replacement bulbs for my GE over the Range Microwave oven as they fit both the interior and exterior lighting. Typically, LEDs last more than 20,000 hours. 1 of the bulbs works and is still working. The second gave me the sensation of traveling more that 20,000 hours forward into time in 1-2 sec as it only lasted about that long. The interior light on this GE oven is difficult to change due to space and after testing it was working, I proceeded to reassemble The light wink out a few seconds after power was reapplied. Yes, I did recheck and the bulb was tight and that the old incandescent bulb still worked in the same socket. Even reinstalled the LED after confirming the incandescent bulb still worked. The LED bulb is much smaller diameter than the incandescent it was replacing, making the fit much easier. The light is white and far brighter. The exterior light on the MW has a full and dimmed setting and the LED works on the dimmer setting as well, although there is hardly any decrease in light. This is not an issue, as the 40 watt bulb at 1/2 power is still 20 watts and this bulb is closer to 4 watts at full bright. If reliability was not an issue, I would strongly recommend this LED replacement for GE Over the Range Microwave ovens for both the interior and exterior lights (GE MW model was JVM2052SNSS). Yours may be different as they used halogen bulbs in later models.
