Great books. Loved these as a kid. Bought for my 7 yo niece.

My 3 year old son thoroughly enjoys these! I liked Berenstain Bears growing up so I'm really glad to see my son enjoy these as well. He's been reading since age 2 and with some help can more or less read at a first grade level (I think). I'll point to words or phrases and have him read them. He'll pause, think of how to say it and often will whisper what the text says. It's funny too because sometimes he'll ask me to read the copyright information on the title page. He expects me to read everything 😅😅.

Bought these for my 3 year old daughter who loved a couple of the original Bernstein Bears books I dug up from when I was younger. These were great for her! The pages have enough words/story line to be engaging but not overwhelming. These are some of her favorite books now! Loved these books growing up. Gave me immense joy to read them to my own children.

Level 1 readers should be consonant vowel consonant words from the same word family. These are more like read alouds. Contractions, apostrophes and words like glorious, and aquarium. This was discouraging for my early reader.
