Pros and Cons Review
I made this purchase 6 months ago, and I am pleased. There is just one issue on this device, that neither Amazon or Asus could help me with. This laptop is sooooo! great, and multifaceted. One day, the backlit keyboard stopped working. I am one of those people who snuggles with their laptop and surf before going to bed; so the led keyboard is a necessity. When it occurred I was not ready for it and I chose not to make a a fuss. Why? Because this malfunction, could be a fault of the carrier. When the package is mishandled, or handled ruffly and dropped at the door instead of placed at the destinations door. For example: the arrows on the box often see with the phrase (Handle with Care) instructing the carrier to place, carry, and load this box right side up or this side up. Some people ignore these simple instructions because they have their own concept of what is okay, I guess. These actions do have an affect on electronic devices. Overall, this laptop is a keeper, but not for beginners. The touchscreen flows smoothly with good response, 360 hinge, compact, light weight, a fair amount of ports. Perfect for any artist, and still working great. Share this review and I do recommend this laptop.

You buy and they own control, invade privacy, and manipulate administrator aithority.
The first thing about this computer was a lack of privacy, when I logged on to my amazon account through this device all of a sudden Amazon kept asking me to prove I was my own account holder through my own devices. ALSO, MY PASSWORDS WERE BEING CHANGED MAKING VERY TEDIOUS THE RECOVERY OF MY ACCOUNT AMONG OTHER THINGS AS WELL SUCH AS BILLING ERRORS. Before I used this computer everything with Amazon was very smooth going. Then the computer requires you to begin an account with Microsoft and the tells you the account does not exist. I have been back and forth on this computer very many times. I am well acquainted with the use of computers. This computer puts the user through a bunch of unecessary steps to get anything done. I bought this computer for my child and we started the first email account and password for him and then were told the account doesn,t exist. This computer is seriously dysfunctional. The speeds are not consistent with advertising and the battery life is neither capable to manage a days worth of laptop running about 3 hours fully charged or as advertised. The sound chip is attacked a day after you start to begin using making no sound whatsoever and the pointer stops working on the second day. The computer seems to have an overcontroler which makes the computer not yours. Most changes you make to it are overridden by some unknown hand. Even when I am using separate accounts for my children and myself. It does not Apparantly give you the owner control of your own computer. It is designed for you to buy extra features which they are willing to sell you. There are very minimal apps esspecially for children. A very disappointing buy at $470. I am an experienced computer user. This computer has serious issues for which are very questionable for a computer which belongs to the owner.

Ok for basic stuff
I like this computer. Even though the drive went bad 1 Year and a month after purchase and ASUS wouldn’t give me a break. Really other than that, and I’ve never had a hard drive go in a computer before, the biggest negative is that the battery life isn’t great. Seems I can run it down with steady use in about 4 hours. I like that it folds like a tablet. Running Excel with anything more than a basic spreadsheet really bogs this computer down. Not good. I have to shut down all open tabs to keep the speed up. If you want a computer for internet and email , this will be good. If you plan to use Office in just about any capacity, get a better machine. Camera is good for zoom calls, i.e clear. Does the job for a decent price.

Not worth the headache.
First time I ordered it, it would not turn on or charge. "Okay, it's defective", I say. No worries. I return it for another one. Second one comes, great. It turns on. It charges. I am happy. I get it all set up the way I need it. take it out of S mode etc. Then, 1 day later, the monitor breaks down and won't display. I try a few times. Turn it on, turn it off, hold the button for 40 seconds like the "help" page said. Nothing. Blank screen. Goodbye ASUS VivoBook Flip 14. I may have to get a more expensive model from a different brand, but 2 headaches inside a week ain't worth what I paid here. Nothing is. I am happy for those of you who got one that consistently works, ASUS is a good brand. I have a PC and a laptop that are both terrific years later, but two defective products in a row is the beginning of a pattern I'd rather not go through, especially during the holidays. However, when this VivoBook was working it was a nice little laptop, so it's a shame really.

Confusing
So I have had this for a while and it works okay. It is pretty slow to do mostly everything. And for some reason my screen won’t turn on anymore. It was working all day and it ran out of battery. Now after being completely charged the screen isn’t responding to anything. It’s not turning on. All the lights work. If you want a cheap computer that works for maybe a year this would be it. It does pick up a lot of fingerprints and dust. Definitely not a good gaming computer. Everything else works great.

surprisingly good for the price range
I expected this little laptop to underperform my 10th gen i5 wifi 6 laptop. Surprisingly, it performs at the same level. Speeds via Ookla's test site are 620-630 mbs download near my wifi 6 router with Comcast's 600 mbs service, and 40 feet away in another room they still test at 240 mbs download. Web pages load at the same speed as the i5. Where this computer excels is its screen. I think it's on par with our iPad and iPhone screens for color depth, sharpness, and viewing angle...far better than other laptops, except for maybe MS Surface, in the sub-$1,000 price range. The touchscreen and touchpad work flawlessly. The speakers are clear and volume can be loud, much better than my 2018 VivoFlip, which couldn't crank out much volume. The keys are large, and the tactile feel is just right for accurate touch-typing, also much better than my other laptops. The keyboard backlighting has three brightness levels plus off. I also expected the battery life to be less than my 2018 VivoFlip, but it's actually quite good. Unless you're watching a movie, it should last several hours in normal usage.

Good budget option for artists !
I spend 99% of my free time doing digital art. My old laptop busted a few years ago, so I ended up with a really inconvenient set up. My roomates 6yo brick of an old lenovo and a pen display with several cords required. Every time i came to my bfs house i brought a massive backpack stuffed to the brim with my drawing gear. No more !!!! When i first ordered this laptop I intended to use my pen display with it. I hadn't even realized it was touch screen - my techy bf was the one who recommended this listing to me. When I found out it was compatible with some pens I took a gamble on a second hand knock off surface pen I found. Can't believe it worked with no issues! I use Clip Studio as well as medibang paint. It easily runs both programs with no problem. The screen is crisp and clear, pressure is great, and the folded up laptop fits easily in my little lap pillow I draw on. Idk if it would have enough power to handle anything like intense animation or video editing. Its only a duel core, but for my simple drawin purposes it's a fantastic little machine. No more lugging around that heavy backpack full of cords !! Just this little laptop and a pen !

Decent, got a few years out of it
My friend and I each bought one of these within a month of each other in 2022. Now, roughly three years later, they've died within a month of each other. Decent computer, roughly 2.5-3 years life, based on my daily use and her twice-weekly use for school. Slowed down significantly over time, but got the job done.
