First of all really amazing product and the seller is also awesome,cause as soon as product was delivered seller called and asked me if the product was good and i am satisfied with it or not....so million thanks to seller.. now coming back to the phone:- Rear Camera quality is superb(although it can still be improved) 9 out of 10. Front camera is good but in artifical lighting condition it suffers a but again 24 mp camera.so 8 out of 10. call quality is superb.no network drops and amazing cellular network almost in all sims...i have moto x play it shows low signal at same place and in this device i get it 3-4 network signals...even with same sim card..10 out of 10. speakers are good but at this price samsung could offer dual stereo speakers.so 8 out of 10. fingerprint sensor speed is also good although it is a bit located high but it is ok.so 9 out of 10. Although The chipset is not kirin 960 or 970 but chipset is snapdragon 660 which is mid range flagship processor...It is good and does all task well plus it doesnt lag while playing graphic intense games...and no lag even if heavy background processes are there so good processor work.8 out of 10. Build quality is good enough but still i would rather handle with care.8 out of 10. although two things i disliked about the device it is:- At this price processor could be latest one from market rather than old one. At this price Samsung should give a special quality earphones. so Phone is amazing and worth every penny if you are samsung fan..

Received the order 50 hrs ago. Inbox: handset, type-c fast charger, Samsung headphone, user manual *Design Premium looks and quality, strong and solid body(dropped it yesterday accidentally still no tear/scratch) *Battery Charged 100% before turning it on, Battery stayed over 24 hrs (moderately used). Satisfied with the fast charge (100% charged around an hour) *Performance Satisfied with the performance, no lags but too many bloat ware(unnecessary inbuilt apps), 6 GB of RAM is enough to play any hi-graphics game *Display and touch Satisfied with Super oled infinity display, would have increased the screen to body ratio, felt the16m colors, high sensitive touch and feel *Camera 16+24 MP rear camera gives crisp and clear pictures, 24 MP front camera gives perfect selfies, Slow Mo, pro, panorama modes are good *Sound quality Dolby Atmos at its best, headphones sound quality is good but the headphone buds aren't comfortable, speaker quality is superfine *Biometric features Finger print sensor unlocks in less than a second. Face unlock doesn't work in low light, although works perfectly in daylight *SIM and memoy slots Dual SIM or SIM + memory card, expected triple slots Overall I rate this phone 4 of 5. Please bear in mind, this is not a regular feature or specification user review for the subject phone. There are tons of professional reviewers and users who extall or decry various attributes of the phones but NONE discuss safety of these devices for us and our children. Most mobile phone manufacturers bury this crucial radiation safety value deep in specification links or do not publish them at all. Third party review websites or e commerce platforms like Amazon don't even publish them as nobody cares. There have been multiple credible links connecting brain cancers with extended or intense Cell phone usage (including living in close proximity of cellphone communication towers, especially 3G, 4G). Its more prevalent in growing children than adults. Cell phone radiation has been linked to mass perforation of the delicate membrane protecting the brain known as Blood Brain Barrier. Due to mass perforation, toxins and un wanted substances enter the brain area and create multiple nervous system ailments as well as worst case- cancer. Phones use the so called non ionizing radiation in microwave frequency range to communicate on GSM or VoLTE, Bluetooth & WiFi. Head SAR value is the peak sum total radiation to head of the user of all these phone transmitters simultaneously kept on. I always advocated very strongly to use high to mid tier Samsung phones simply because how safe they were.... I was shocked to find that Samsung Galaxy A8 Star had one of the LOWEST radiation value of Head SAR = 0.179 W/kg versus the maximum legal limit of 1.6 W/kg. Just dial *#07# from the dialler to find the Head SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) of your respective phones. Beloved super duper expensive Apple iPhones and contrastingly, the cheap feature packed Chinese (almost all brands) including Taiwanese Asus, Korean LG grossly overlook safety levels of their devices and have Head SAR values ranging between 1.1 W/kg up to 1.5 W/kg, though within the legal limit. For these companies, only attractive designs, new fearures drive their business interests based on consumer demands. Regulation limits for cell phones have not been reviewed and tightened since more than a decade globally even as we talk of using cleaner emission norms including electric vehicles, globally and in India. This is a pity..... Many avoid Samsung because they seem to be too expensive vis a vis their competition on paper specification comparison. However, it's only Samsung that has a patented proprietary antenna design technology that is able to provide the lowest possible Head SAR. You may please research on this subject on internet for indepth knowledge. Else, I only face various app internet connectivity issues related to use of VPN Firewall (Adguard) which is a known bug in Oreo 8.0 version of Android and not linked to Samsung. The only thing I disliked about this phone is the top positioning of the fingerprint scanner on the rear which is difficult to reach for smaller hand. I bought it last year, twice had to go Samsung customer care and they haven't figured out the problem yet and my phone is completely unusable. Problems at the beginning: 1. Electric spark sounds (like short circuit issues) while switching on the device. 2. Same spark while opening the camera. For resolving the problem, I had contacted Samsung Care at Noida. they even though here the sound, they didn't add it in the job sheet and after they returned my phone with new camera (that's what they said) and also told me that they couldn't find the sound issue . For a while it was working perfectly. Problems at later stage. few months back I came back to my native. then my started making the issues. 1. AUTOMATIC RESTART CONTINUOUS. 2. Same electric sparks kinda sound while starting. 3. Display Glitches 4. Camera focus issues (rear camera) 5. Doesn't have any kind a water proofing (not even protected if you put you mobile in your jacket while a slightest drizzle). After the water proofing issue, Phone didn't normally so I had contacted Samsung Care at Karunagappally. They told me there's a problem with board which is because of water issue. So they told me to buy parts and it wont cover the warranty (they ignored the facts that all these problems had been there from the starting itself). Then i collected my phone without repairing it. Same problems continued and new one added. 1. Electric spark kind sound 2. Camera focus issue. 3. Restart loop regularly (if I'm lucky phone will start after 4-5 restart) 4. Sometimes I had no option other than reset whole device (more than 4 times), because i couldn't get passed the reboot page. After restoring it will work perfectly for 2-3 days. Problem at final stage. I got software update so i updated it and that was it. Now its showing 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗼𝗿:𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗳𝗹𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘂𝗻𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝗼𝗳𝘁𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲 & 𝗶𝘀 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗱. Thank you Samsung for wasting my money and for your excellent service center services. Or maybe I should thank the seller. maybe they are selling fake products through online. Still i have to thank Samsung for not finding it when i gave it 'twice' to your 'Samsung Care'.

Bit annoyed by the service of AMAZON for this product. I received the phone which had some knocking sound from the back of it. I actually came to know about the sound when I shooked the phone. It was a physical damage. According to the return policy if the phone have physical damage then that product can be returned for full refund. But they didn't did that instead they gave me a replacement after complaing them many times. Also they did not sent any technician to check the issue which normally they send if any electronic product is received in damaged condition. The replacement I got had the same problem of some knocking sound may be the case that it's the problem with all models but they were not ready to replace. Now coming to the phone review. Camera quality is really good. Captures good quality photos in any lighting conditions. Picture detailing is also very good. Battery life is appreciable. On medium to little high usage it can last upto 1-1.5 days on single charge. Also the charger provided is the fast charger which usually charges the phone in 1-1.5 hrs. Super AMOLED display of Samsung is just amazing with the screen size and resolution the phone have. 6 GB of Ram and Snapdragon 660 is much sufficient for any kind of multitasking and playing some heavy games like pubg. 64 GB of storage is enough for routine usage. Sound quality is good but loudness could have been bit more although it is good. Also to mention Samsung is providing timely updates for system and security patches. Phone have its own antivirus and storage manager powered by McAfee and 360 security. Expect for the Amazon service the phone is worth buying if you can get it under 17K. I bought it worth 15K.

I am reviewing this product after a month of usage. Pro's: 1. Very good battery life. Am getting around 6 hours of screen on time. 2. Vivid display. It was visible even in the direct sun light. 3. Louder speaker. 4. Premium glass and metal sandwich design. Con's: 1. A bit heavy. 2. Not ideal mobile for one hand use. 3. I am not satisfied with the image quality for both the front and rear camera's. Because both the sensors are 24 MP shooters. Image quality was not matched with its own alternative product ( Samsung Galaxy A50). 4. Sluggish UI. Picture drop drop was visible for even its inbuilt apps and basic social media apps. 5. Finger print reader position was a bit high. We need to stretch our finger for an every time. 6. Its face recognition was clunky. It unlocks the mobile even for others face 7. Hard to find the accessories for this product at offline shops. I was a bit disappointed with the Amazon's delivery. After the order was placed, they delayed the product for about 5 days from the expected delivery date. Verdict: For a premium glass and metal build with excellent battery life, vivid display, average camera's and average performance for under 18.5k this mobile is recommended. This price bracket of 15K to 20K was now a bit crowded with many alternatives like it's own Samsung Galaxy M40/ M30/ A50 and Xiomi redmi Note 7 pro, Poco F1. If u stretch your budget up to for an amount of 28K you can get Oneplus 6T.

Okay let me get this straight. When you buy mobiles from A listed brands it shows right from the product feel to post sale service. This phone at 34k rs was rubbish pricing but at 17k its the sweetest Samsung mid ranger. Pros. - FHD+ SUPER AMOLED Display. You can fall in love with this display everyday. - Samsung ONE UI with android P. Laggy samsung software is thing of past. With One UI samsung has moved onto feature rich next gen UI which performs close to stock. It will be 3rd update on your phone. - Superb Camera with many added features like Telephoto zoom and AI scene optimiser when you update to One UI. Very good low light capabilities. - A Samsung Snapdragon phone with a reliably powerful 660AIE - A list look with glass metal sandwich design. - Excellent Network and Wifi reception. Cons. - Not great battery but One day battery at moderate to heavy use. You will have to optimise your use and mayb use tricks like using dark Amoled wallpapers. - Its an old release so mayb it will be get one more OS update and some more android security patches. - No triple camera .. No wide angle If you need a dependable phone with a brand recognition go for this or A50.
