Plantronics Explorer 10 Bluetooth Headset (Black)

Been using it for 3 months now. Battery backup has to be its biggest plus point, especially when compared to other entry level BT headsets. This lasts about 8-10 hours (rated max talktime is 11 hours), and charges fast too. I haven't done precise testing, but based on observations, some 15-30 minutes of charging via laptop usb port gives at least 2-4 hours of backup. Call sound quality is very good. Music/video-audio sound quality too is good (although the headset is not at all intended for entertainment, it's just a good, basic level bonus). Every time you switch the headset on, you will hear the "Talktime: x hours" readout which is SUPER helpful. Also, the "Battery low" audio warning too is highly useful as it doesn't wait too late to warn you. After the first "battery low" warning, I got at least 30 minutes before I charged. There is 5-stop volume adjustment available with the button on the headset. It fit well on the ear and is comfortable to wear even for long hours (I used it for 3-5 hours). Can easily be adjusted to fit either ear - no parts to be removed and put back, just a rotating mechanism. Can stay paired to 2 devices at a time.

I owned the Plantronics M20 and I have been using it for atleast 6 years now and bought this model to 'Explorer 10' because this plays media as well which M20 wouldn't do. PROS This style of headsets may seem obsolete and be losing popularity to the airpod style that come in a rechargeable case, however, this works best for people like me with smaller ear canals which simply cannot hold any type of headsets and they keep slipping out. This one sits on my ears and I almost use them for 5 to 6 hours in a stretch. This model sounds you off about how much more time the charge will provide usability. At full charge it says 11 hours and yes, it works for 11 hours, atleast when new. It sounds you off about low battery approx. 30 mins prior before it dies out completely. The phone will also show you the % of power left. It fits comfortably, almost never fell off my ear, though it's not the best fit for sports activities or if you jump around too much. Sound quality is decently clear. Can fit on either ear. Price seems affordable as compared to other wireless options in the same category. CONS It tends to get get disconnected (when within range) from the phone unexpectedly (without any prompts) and I had to unpair and repair a couple of times initially. This used to happen a lot with M20 as well. Grrr... Noise cancellation, whatever that means. The other person can hear most of the sounds within 50 to 60 ft of my radius but cant hear me if I whisper or speak in a low volume. That's ironic and annoying. Everything said and done, this works best for me.

It's a decent product for the pricing. Pros: sound quality is good, volume adjustment works well, fits well, you can change it from one ear to the other too, bluetooth battery life indication at power-up is helpful too. Cons: I am not a fan of the way this has to be worn on your ear, i find a little difficulty trying to put it on or off my ear because the curved ear handle just doesn't rotate around your ear with ease. I personally found my ear to hurt a little after using it for an hour or so(its probably because of the canal rubber impinging on the inside, but this may not happen with everyone). All in all, its a decent buy for the price and it does what it promises as per the specs.

Very Good call clarity, Excellent battery backup, light weight, Good build quality, has call receive and hang up, volume up down and mute functions on the headset. It also has in-built voice support. It has an impressive range, sometimes my phone lies in the hall while I speak on the balcony outside my bedroom. So it surely has range of 10mts or more. Can listen to music... I guess noise reduction is also good because I always use this to attend long client calls daily from home (I have two pet dogs and a baby at home). No complains heard till now from the other side about any background noise while I speak. I am currently using this in USA and works as good in this cold as it did in India. only One negative: Warranty booklet mentions that there is no warranty on products purchased online. So mine probably has no warranty. Still five stars because of amazons excellent service and consumer friendly policy. I got it for free from Amazon!!

This is awesome, light weight, connects easily... voice clarity is very good at both ends, can hear music as well... range is quite good .. can stay connected with phone in another room... battery back up is very nice... all that you need in a bluetooth headset... great value for money product

Device stopped working within 5 days of purchase. Had to return. Although nice quality.

It ticks all the buckets. Please realize that most Bluetooth devices are not made for using in noisy places, so need to have right expectations. Quality, design, voice clarity and durability are on par with any other decent headset.
