Massive Audio EQ7X | 7-Band Car Audio Equalizer with 8V Line Driver, Subwoofer Control & Adjustable Fader - in-Dash EQ for Studio-Quality Sound

The Massive EQ is a great product, especially for the price. Using my stock head unit and high level to low level converter, I connected this EQ to my 4 channel Pioneer (75 Watts/ch RMS) amp and adjusted the bands and it sounds great. Before using the EQ, I had a little too much mid-range. Now the mid-range is the way I wanted it to sound. I did NOT use this for my Pioneer Sub amp...that is fed directly from the head unit. For those of you who want to use it for the sub amp, there is a sub out but...there is also a low frequency cutoff switch for 90 Hz. or 60 Hz. My feeling is that the 60 Hz cutoff is still too high...it should have 35 or 40 Hz. However, this is still a great EQ for the money.

I was having an issue with a preamp output that wasn't quite strong enough for my application, with this equalizer/line driver I was able to precisely set my levels appropriately. There wasn't any buzzing or ground looping noise to speak of, and the output was clear. Power connections were simple and tight.

good eq,works like it should. only reason for 4 stars is it had a smell like it was burning but its been working fine and the smell hasnt been too noticeable.

I purchased this eq because i have a clarion eq but was looking for something cheap that would also sound good. After owning massive product in the past i decided to give it a try, and im glad i did. this eq really brings out the sound in my amp. I run this into my lg v20 that has quad dac and the sound this produces is very clean and crisp. Update: May 15 2020 - i just installed this EQ in my 2019 Honda Ridgeline. The instructions was kinda hard to understand and not very clear, because i was trying to use high level inputs from the factory stereo. But i spliced an old pair of RCA wires and connected it to the factory stereo speaker output and connected it to the EQ. The EQ auto powers on when the factory stereo speaker outputs turns on without using the remote turn on, but there was a loud pop through my speakers every time it turned on. I was able to correct this popping while turning on by connecting the remote turn on wire which gave the EQ enough lead turn on time before the speaker input signal came in. The sound this EQ produces is great and i still highly recommend it. Its a very flexible EQ with low level and high level speaker inputs.

I purchased this because I needed an EQ that is better than what's built into my head unit. Unfortunately this unit did nothing but add noise to my system, and when the engine is running the engine noise is louder than the actual radio signal. I made sure I had proper grounding and played with this for some time, even a ground loop isolator didn't help. I decided to remove this unit..........

Red flag happened when the only colors that would display was a faint purple and blue. No Amber or orange option. The item was also a little scratched and some stess cracks that may have happened during shipping. I was getting 14 volts to the battery connection and remote terminal and no sound was coming from the speakers. I troubleshooted with different cables that proved to work without the equalizer so Im sure it was a defective unit. The biggest red flag being the led lights being only purple and blue instead of red, or amber forced me to stop trouble shooting it and request a refund immediatley. The unit comes with a slip of paper saying the equalizer is tested before shipment so not sure what to say about that. Really wished it would have worked. Would be hesitant to order again knowing I have to deal with repackaging and mailing back. Amazon offered a refund so im happily taking them up on that.

I might be jumping the gun a bit but I got this eq today decided to install it (2015 Chevy cruze) i plugged it in it lit up but no sound checked my wiring and it was all correct so I couldn't think what was wrong the turns out the aux button was pressed and I had nothing hooked up there so that's why there were was no sound I only say this hoping that anyone who orders this and does the same thing doesn't get mad and leave a 1 star review like I was about to have this hooked up to a 5 channel amplifier (lightning audio L-5600) and it brought it to life as I'm using a stock head unit that has a bit off bass rolloff at high levels and this corrected that the lights seem to be a little on the "why is this so bright" side but I have this hooked up in my glove box so when it's closed you can't see it (to help deter thieft) I would fully recommend this unit it's a good price it's a bit heavy am made of metal and not a cheap plastic the only negative things I could say about this unit is 1.lights are to bright 2.it comes with an online fuse rather than one built in 3.the lights are advertised as blue and red but are blue and orange 4.wish the switch had an off button for the lights none of these are deal breakers at all still a very solid unit as for the line driver I can't confirm or deny that at this time as I have not tested the output voltage with the unit before with stock head unit it was only 1.2 volts so after I test it with the eq I'll update this review

Excelente producto es mi segunda compra antes había comprado el eq4 y venía defectuoso lo tuve que devolver pero este eq7 cumple su función el sonido se escucha claro y fuerte que sea de 8 voltios ayuda mucho y es un paso antes de irme con los dsp , con esto sigo aprendiendo este mundo del car audio.
