I really like this
I really like this little 3-cube bookshelf! It's super compact, fits perfectly in small spaces like my NYC apartment, and looks modern and clean. Easy to assemble (took me like 10 minutes), sturdy enough for books and decor, and the open shelves make everything easy to access. Great value for the price — highly recommend!

Affordable Organization
I bought these for the top of my husband's closet and they worked beautifully for that purpose. For the price, they're well-made and look nice. They're small, but accurately represented (note measurements). From those measurements, I was able to order the baskets (also from Amazon) in the photo at the same time I ordered the shelves and it all worked. (Note that these shelves DO come with a back, which I never planned to put on; if you put the back on, these particular baskets will overhang the front of the shelves. The baskets in the photo are the Mimonhouse Woven Baskets for Shelves, Medium 2-Pack in Natural Water Hyacinth.) Assembly was easy enough that I could do it, which is saying something--I can't usually even put a simple shoe organizer together! All that said, I probably wouldn't stack a lot of heavy books or plants on these shelves and expect them to hold up in the long-term. They aren't those kind of shelves--they're fairly lightweight particle board. Happy organizing!

The quality is a little delicate
The Furinno 5-level shelf is an excellent option if you are looking for something functional and economical for small spaces. I give it 4 stars because, although it is very easy to assemble and has a modern design that looks great, the material feels a little light, so I recommend not overloading it with objects that are too heavy. It is perfect for small books, plants or decoration, and for the price it has, the quality is more than fair. It perfectly fulfills its purpose if you are looking to organize your home without spending a lot of money.

Cute shelving unit. Multiple colors. Sturdy and simple to build.
Super sturdy. May be used backless or with a solid back. Shelves may be used or removed within the cabinet to make spaces larger to hold additional items and the unit may also be placed on its side. Able to build by myself.

OK Bookcase With Caveats
This is an attractive 5-Tier bookcase. Just some things to be aware of: NOTE: TO ENSURE A STURDY BUILT THIS BOOKCASE WILL REQUIRE WOOD GLUE ON ALL CONNECTING JOINTS: SEE BELOW. 1) The height of the shelves is not high enough for an 8.5" x 11" periodical. If you're planning on placing standard-size paper or folders into a shelf this will not hold them. Smaller books and periodicals will work. 2) Instructions: I've had lots of experience building such furniture and this is an easy build, but you do have to be careful to screw the pieces together so that the finished ends that you see (the laminated ends and not the raw pressed wood) face the front... this may seem obvious but bears mentioning anyhow. The instructions are minimal with illustrations numbered step 1, step, 2.... etc. It's easy enough to follow. 3) Wood Glue Required: This is very important. The thickness of the pressed wood is around 1/2". The instructions do not mention this, but I will: YOU MUST USE WOOD GLUE ON ALL JOINTS because screws alone will not make this bookcase study and rigid enough using just the supplied screws. I would also add that IF YOU ARE NOT SURE HOW TO USE WOOD GLUE ON JOINTS DO NOT PURCHASE THIS BOOKCASE - OR FIND SOMEONE THAT KNOWS HOW TO WORK WITH WOOD. 4) This is the only tricky part: The bookcase is made up of 2 sections, one taller than the other and then they are screwed together using the supplied screws and 4 special circular clamping bolts. Be careful when inserting the clamping bolts so that they are placed into the proper holes on the shelf section that joins both sections. Pay careful attention to the diagram that shows the screws and the special clamping bolts and be sure you place them in the correct holes, other than that, this is the only critical area. 5) Unfortunately, the screw holes do not have any countersink (space withing the drilled hole to hide the screw head) so that the heads of the screws do not stick out slightly from the surface. HOWEVER: If you're familiar with woodworking you can drill the countersink holes yourself but be very careful of the depth because the material is not all that think and you don't want to drill all the way through. Otherwise, if you don't drill your own countersink holes, just be sure your properly screw the supplied screws in as far as they will go BUT DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN THEM BECAUSE THE MATERIAL IS TOO POROUS FOR THAT AND THEY WILL NEVER BE AS TIGHT AS THEY WOULD BE IF THE MATERIAL WAS REAL WOOD - THIS IS WHY YOU MUST USE GLUE WHEN ASSEMBLING THIS BOOKCASE. Overall, my build turned out OK, but only because I used wood glue on all joints. I would have given this review 5 stars but because of the lack of countersunk screw holes and the need for glue to ensure sturdiness it gets a 3 star. I would recommend this ONLY if you're familiar with assembling wood products and know how to use wood glue to ensure tight joints. This is not a difficult project and for the price this is not a bad bookcase if you know how to use wood glue. I would NOT recommend this if you've never built knock-down furniture and/or you're expecting a really solid bookcase when completed.

Decent for the price but small.
Be aware of the dimensions. Its small laying on it's side, even for a kids room. I wouldn't stand it up vertically because of the light weight and ability to tip over on children. Assembly was easy and the instructions were clear and all parts were numbered correctly to make it super easy to organize assembly.

Good enough for a low budget apartment
I actually got three of these green shelves and they seem pretty consistent. I feel like my photos don't do the color justice because it's really a soft light green, and these make it look more like a sharp yellowish-green. I do like the color. And as others have mentioned, it is a bit of a shame that the directions aren't clear about the direction to connect the shelves. I had to reference the photo that showed how all the pieces will attach as well as coming back to this page to see how the colors align in order to make sure I was doing it right (especially in those first steps for the top shelves). They're pretty decent shelves as far as having a good amount of space on each shelf, the height, and being small enough to fit in a small apartment yet actually helpful for storage. The assembly is straightforward if you have experience with these kinds of projects but I had a few concerns. I believe the biggest problem is that it gives you the exact amount of all the pieces, meaning that if some come broken, you're just out of luck. Usually for shelves there will be one extra of most pieces. As shown, I did have a couple come broken and a wooden peg that split when I tried to use the mallet. With all three, I struggled when connecting the top shelves to the bottom shelves. When connecting, the circular metal connectors (I don't recall the exact name for them) are meant to turn 180° to secure the screws. But not a single one on any of them could. It felt like I was going to break the shelf itself, or threatened to strip those connectors. So there's a small gap there on each one, and nothing I tried was able to get them to connect snuggly. That and trying to screw in those black pieces behind the shelf were the hardest parts. It was pretty hard trying to screw into the shelf with no prep hole, with the screwdriver right up against the shelf with no room to hold it well. This shelf should have been really easy to put together (especially for someone like me with a lot of experience assembling furniture), but I ended up having hand cramps a few times. All-in-all they're what I needed so it will be fine. I just have to be careful with the one that has the broken peg since that one will be less safe (especially because it's at the part that can't connect properly). I do suggest getting your own straps to secure these to the wall, especially if you have kids or pets, because they're only stable as long as it doesn't get pushed on. Edit - I forgot to mention that the wood is a bit rough around the edges. The photo shows discoloration on the green, and that part feels really rough. And that is something that was consistent on all the shelves of the three units that I bought. It isn't necessarily a deal breaker for me, but it's something that you should be aware of before making a decision.
