Just go for it
Don't know what's with the negative reviews but it's working as expected. It was showing 88% humidity in my room and when I switched on the AC, it went down to 60%. Temperature is also matching with AC. Even if it's a little off, it still gives you an approximate idea.

Product with compromised quality
I bought two of these product. One is showing 28.7 degrees and another one I showing 26.5, though I kept them next two other on the same table. Looks like a cheap Chinese product. For humidity as well, one is showing 62% and another one is showing 56%.
