OXO Good Grips Stainless Steel Fork

If you've shopped for carving forks, you have probably been as shocked as I was by the prices. And, that it is almost impossible to find a fork by itself, as opposed to as part of a set. I mean, really? A carving fork? In a set costing from $84 -$284?!And not only that, they all seem to have very short necks with very long tines. Bizarre. So I was elated to find this fork. Seriously. Elated. I'd looked at probably 5 stores. In shape, this was exactly like the one my folks had when I was a kid growing up. And still have. Some 50 years later! Though theirs has a wooden handle. I like this one more.I was afraid that because of the low price it would be flimsy. Well, when I received it I was. . . elated. It is sturdy in all respects. I just used it for carving the Christmas turkey and, ahhh. What a joy! I couldn't be happier. Really. Shockingly inexpensive. Shaped the way I wanted. And sturdy.Recommend? Well, duh!

Love the size and the OXO grip! Perfect for lifting heavy roasts, ham, etc. Two makes it super easy to manage. Also great for daily cooking.

I love OXO products. I purchased this fork for browning, cooking and slicing meats. It is easy to use, easy to clean in the dishwasher or by hand. I have been purchasing OXO products for many years and have never had one fail to do the job it was intended to do. This fork and my many other OXO utensils and products will outlive me!

I noted another reviewer commented the fork was quite sharp on the ends; boy was he right. The two ends are almost like the end of a knife, very sharp and dangerous if you are not careful. The plus side is they go into meat easily with little pressure. The main reason I purchased this item was for the rubberized handle which is hand friendly. It looks and feels like it will last a long time (the handle); the main steel is stainless and fairly heavy duty (it won't bend easily if at all); all in all, this is a quality item. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the chance you could be stabbed by the tool if you were careless; it's kind of like a knife, be careful with it and it will serve you well, be careless, and you may have two puncture marks on your body, and they won't be vampire bites.

Our youngest son finally moved out! It was time to upgrade utensils. This fork is great. Comfortable to hold, fork tines are sharp. I would recommend this fork and if need be purchase again.

I’ve been looking for a long heavy duty fork for some time and took a chance on this after reading the reviews. This is such a nice heavy duty fork. I ordered two to be able to pick up heavy hams and was very pleased at the control it gave me—-I’ve been known to drop a ham or two. LOL. Not with these forks.

Fantastic fork. Picked up a 10 pound ham without any indication might bend. Very sharp. Handle has some squish to it so you get a good grip. Very happy with my purchase. Didn't find any in store half as nice.

I've needed a cooking fork like this for a long time. This one is great. Sturdy, easy grip, has the little hooks on the prongs so meat doesn't slip off. Recommended.
