Very light and moisturizing. I have yellowish-reddish dull skin tone, and this lotion brightened my tone instantly upon application. It is lightly scented and absorbed quickly as I dab it more. It is more like gel or lotion type, nothing like the oily balm or cream. I love it more because it is not sticky and heavy. My skin tone looks much brighter and natural, yet healthier. FYI, my skin is oily-combination type, and this one lasts longer than any other tone up cream I used.

End of story? Nah. Keep reading.This is one of the coolest little products that I use on a regular basis- it is a really amazing multitasker! I use it primarily as an alternative to wearing a face full of foundation. When I want to have a product that gives me a subtle glow and some slight redness coverage without looking like I'm wearing any makeup at all, I dab a pea-sized amount onto troubled areas of my face and gently blend it in with a damp sponge. I set it afterwards with a little bit of translucent powder, and my skin looks absolutely beautiful, without the cakey foundation look.The other thing that the VB can do really well is act as a whitener for foundations that are too dark. I use this on any liquid foundation that oxidizes too dark on me, and I've found that mixing the VB in does wonders at counteracting oxidation in some of my favorite foundations!Be aware that this formula shouldn't be applied too thick- it can get a bit patchy, and I've found that it does best over hydrated skin that's been set with a primer.
