Good repacement
This is a good replacement item. Yes it is plastic with "chrome" finish. The original is a plastic chrome finish as well. The new version feels slightly lighter, yet seems to have solid structure to it. It fits the same as the original and save me from having to do major work in replacing the entire fixture and possibly even the shower enclosure.

purchased for badly tarnished and faded plate. Easy replacement and brightened the wall.

Outrageous price for a piece of plastic
The description says brass and chrome exterior finish. There's no brass involved. This is a piece of plastic with a chrome finish. It's a good match for the original, but the price for a simple plastic part is flat out ridiculous.

Exact replacement (but plastic)
Needed a replacement for a 40-year old escutcheon that had cracked. This worked just fine and appears to be an exact replica.

Looks great, take time to seal h & c sticker on.
It looks great I read reviews about hot and cold sticker coming off, it did practically fall off, I took the time to super glue then seal the sticker on. Is still on after 2 months and looks great . it is plastic but once mounted looks like metal.

Just okay - could be better!
It’s an acceptable replacement for the original. But it is overpriced. The label on it was falling off when I received it, and I can’t expect it to last very long after it gets moist or wet. It’s just a sticker and doesn’t seem to be something that will hold up to water. Also, the escutcheon does not come with a foam or rubber seal around the inside to seal against the tile. Again for the price, I would’ve expected that would’ve been included. Finally, this would be a better product if it were actually sized slightly bigger than the original. That would help to hide defects and stains left from the original. I expect to replace this within the year when I remodel the entire bathroom, otherwise I would consider returning it and looking for another, better made replica.
