Effective Larvicide
Highly recommend. This product works! This is a bioinsecticide. A Larvicide (Bacillus thuringiensis) or Bt, and acts on the larvae of insects. Very concentrated. Larvae eat the bacteria and essentially die. It has a short life but works very effectively to control mosquitoes and fungus gnat larvae. You need to use this product regularly to break the life cycles of gnats and mosquitoes as they constantly lay eggs that hatch into larvae. This product kills larvae only, not eggs or adult insects. I initially bought this product initially to control the fungus gnats in the peat moss and planting mixes that I used for my seed cell transplants. Most of these products are contaminated with fungus gnat eggs. To prevent gnats, I add a drop of Microbe Lift BMC to my water container each time I water. I grow indoors and did not have a single gnat flying around. I plan on using this product in my bird baths, fountains, flowerpots, and anything with standing water to help control misquotes in my yard.

Great product
Yes. This definitely got rid of my gnat problem in my plants. Their was a lot to get rid of so it took up to 4 watering. The population was decreasing at every watering. Good value due to you only need a few drops so it will last. Very effective.

Great for killing gnats in plants
This stuff WORKS!!! If you're having issues with gnats in your plants, let all your plants dry out and use some of this in your water the next time you water them. The gnats in my plants were gone in less than a week and not a single one of my plants was damaged by the chemicals, they are all still alive as of writing this and it has been about a month since usage. I couldn't be happier with the result I highly recommend

Love this stuff!!! Is my Go-To...
Absolutely a key item in my pest control arsenal! I ended up with some contaminated potting soil, did not know any better, got an infestation of fungus gnats. I tried tons of stuff, natural remedies, some chemicals, even mosquito bits. Come to find out, it was that new bag of soil I had stored... smh... So after finding the main source, it was time to try to deal with the affected plants (Everything?!?!), and that is where all my real problems came about. I could not get rid of them. Ended up killing off a bunch of stuff, trashing the entire set up. It happened again, but I caught it and this is when this product came into play. Very soon after I started using this (and yellow sticky traps), I noticed a reduction within days. And now, I very rarely see a bug and even if I do, I am confident they will not be hatching any eggs and I will likely catch the adults on a trap or with my spray. The problem is pretty much nonexistent. I am so confident in this product I started using it outside too. Things to keep in mind... It works really well and is super concentrated. It does not take much to get the job done. I found out later I had been overusing it, smh. I have some plants using wicking ropes. I simply add a small drop of this to each of the water containers and it seems to be able to wick up just fine and soak into the pots... As far as small-time use, lol. This is a great value considering how much you actually should be using verse how much you get. Amazing grab! I am not sure yet if this stands when you scale up, but for a home gardener or someone with just a few plants, this is totally worth every penny. A drop per gallon basically, com'on, unreal! and that may even still be overusing it, lbvs. Internet says it won't kill the worms!!!! I totally recommend this product and will be faithfully using it for most thing related, where possible.

bought to put a dent in some asian tiger mosquitos and fungus gnats
Would have been 5 stars, but the instructions are not very good for 'home use'. So I researched and researched and finally found info. I wanted to mix with water and use as a soil drench to get rid of indoor fungus gnats now, and asian tiger mosquitos in the spring/summer. 1 drop for half a gallon, and 2 drops for 1 gallon. Don't use more than recommended. Drench the soil or use as a leaf spray. I have already had success treating the soil for fungus gnats...this must be done every 10-14 days for a while. This is basically liquid concentrate BTI (like mosquito dunks/bits) which is safe stuff and non-toxic to humans...good for plants, food and water supply, but messes up fungus gnats and a very specific type of mosquito (the nasty asian tiger). It totally hoses the larvae digestive cycle and they starve before becoming adults. This is important because asian tiger spread disease like heart worm, encephalitis, dengue fever, and perhaps even west nile. Here in St. Louis, I have heard people say that asian tigers come out of the ground ( I don't believe that.) What I do believe is that they likely lay eggs in the millions of half acorn shells that drop from the oak tree in my front yard. The squirrels spend all day cracking them into halves. Then, when it rains...the acorns fill with water...a perfect spot for a growing mosquito. Asian tigers are day-feeders and will literally swarm you. In the summer standing outside 10 minutes = 10 bites. The bites swell to nickel sized welts and last 5-10 days. They are not dusk or dawn feeders. My plan of attack...get rid of as many half-acorns (thimble sized water breeding sites) and then use a spray mixer to treat the entire area..ground, grass, trees, shrubs twice monthly in the spring and summer months.....hopefully, we will see a significant decrease.

This stuff is magic for fungus gnats
This product is absolute magic if you are dealing with fungus gnats. You know those pesky little tiny black gnats that fly around your house if you have plants. It's spring time now and fungus gnats are coming out in droves. Super simple to get rid of them with this product. Put a few drops in a watering can, make sure you drench the top of the soil. And it also helps if you have saucers to put some in the saucer. I find it takes sometimes one treatment sometimes two and then my house is gnat free. We recently started having a problem in our outdoor plants. So used this product out there it also ironically helps to get rid of mosquitoes which is its main use but I'd say that's a side benefit. For me, I generally use this product along with plant fertilizer in nearly every water that I do for my house plants to ensure the gnats do not come back. This year I slacked and had a problem for just a little bit and used this product and they are gone.

Perhaps my bottle was defective?
I regret purchasing this product. It has caused me to have to reset the pond twice. I followed the instructions carefully as I am wary about my water quality but also really wanted the product to work. Unfortunately, if anything it appears to encourage mosquito larvae. It also turns the water extremely murky and rancid smelling, and leaves a nasty coating at the surface line. Once more I have to empty my pond and try to wash off the residue. Thankfully I did not have any fish in this pond, but if I manage to restore the water quality I had, fish is probably the better way to go for mosquito control. It seems that it works great for other people. Perhaps the bottle I received has been exposed to unsuitable conditions on its journey here? Amazon gave the option to return faulty product so at least there is that.

Great.
After trying various methods of eradicating fungus gnats on my houseplants, including mosquito bits, which did nothing, and hydrogen peroxide, which worked at first but not for long, I saw a recommendation for this. The first time I used it I put new yellow sticky traps in all my plant pots to monitor the gnats. Three weeks later they were still all clean, absolutely zero gnats on them. I thought it was the stickies not working. But I haven't seen any of the annoying little blighters since that first treatment. Well worth the price as one drop diluted in water did my whole collection twice. Great stuff.

No good for house plant flies (fungus gnats)
I read reviews so I thought it would be the best thing for house plant flies (fungus gnats) so I tried it and it did nothing to kill the tiny worm-like larvae that turn into the gnats.
