Reliable
Wanted a reactor with a small footprint and one that sat on its pump, its very quite and there’s no inlet or outlet tubing to mess with, the water is sucked through the pump and cascades from the top of the reactor down its sides , I am using it with Rowaphos Loosely sandwiched between two sponges and not in a filter bag. The only downside is you have to pull it off the pump that is under its stand to empty its contents you can twist it off the stand but the bottom sponge is likely to drop with its contents, into your sump where my old reactor you just disconnected the inlet and outlet tubing and lift it straight out as the pump was separate hence the reason I gave the 4 stars

Build quality is very poor
I have been running a marine tank for over 15yrs now and this unit has been my worst buy. A year ago I changed my phosphate removal system to utilise the "Bubble Magus Mini 70 Fluidised Reactor". My verdict after one year - build quality is absolutely rubbish. The white connectors on the top of the plastic tube unit came adrift from the tube (both of them) and the black screws used to connect the tube to the base are not up to the job - they snap during loosening. The actual running of the Reactor is good and does its job - its when you come to clean it and change the phosphate removing granules that problems occur. You know before cleaning that there will be a repair to do. My advice - stay well clear of this unit. Don't waste your money. Buy a different make

Exceptional design, very efficient !!
Very simple and well thought out design. Easy to maintain and easy to change. Flow adjustment is a bit tricky though and to stop the flow, you have to turn it off. It doesn’t bubble with low water levels, as my other fluidiser does.

Great reactors worth every penny
Very compact and super easy to set up, no extra pipework etc etc but the one thing that stopped it getting 5 stars and tbh it's a personal preference is that because the flow comes directly out of the top and runs down the outside of the rector you do hear a constant sound of running water but apart from that these are spotnon Nd worth every penny

Very Happy
Not all of us need a great big reactor. Using with carbon and Rowaphos simultaneously. A bit fiddly to fill. empty and refill (hence 4 not 5 stars) but it only cost £50 so I'm more than happy. It is almost completely silent in operation.

It’s been great with the rowaphos silent and very cheap.
I use this media reactor for a product called Rowaphos and it’s been great on my 400 ltr reef tank.i
