I love the product but i will be shorting the handle by probably 8 inches, great price.

Are you’re thinking about getting a mechanical thrower? Don’t, this is a awesome product. No clay gets tossed the same. A few friends and a couple of these throwers and you can go through several boxes of clays. The only downside is if you don’t wrap the extended shaft you will get some fiberglass is your hands. I like to use it like a lacrosse stick. You can throw clays 80+ yards and put all sorts of curves on them. The closest thing you can get to live birds is with this thrower. And it’s CHEAP.

The white part of the throwing shaft is unsealed fiberglass, so if you touch it while throwing you’ll get small glass splinters in your hand, even worse than you do from fiberglass insulation.On top of that, it has a very specific swing you must accomplish to actually throw the clay. I took a group of 6 out and only I was able to get consistent throws, 4 others couldn’t even get it to work.You can detach the fiberglass extender and just use the orange handle, less distance but that allowed 2 more people to be able to use it.I’m only marking off stars for the unsealed fiberglass, as the other members of my group were not athletic and I factor that in. I am mildly athletic and was able to get a good throw the first time out, and was consistently hitting the same flight path by the 5th clay.

I was surprised how fast you can chunk a clay pigeon with this thrower. You can present some really challenging shots, and it is well worth the money if you are shooting hand thrown clay birds. This is way better than a spring operated clay thrower, especially if you enjoy embarrassing your friends and being embarrassed by them.

I prefer the thrower without the extension. also just as a note the extension is fiberglass so do not play with the end our you will get fibers in your hands.

Its a little hard for the clay target to release on the throw. I have two other throwers, both older. One is spring loaded (really older) and the other is the same design as the MTM EZ thrower, but with a shorter shaft. With these two, I'm able to pretty much place the clay pigeon where I want it.

I'm giving this three stars generously.. It works, and well. but when i received the thrower.. it looked like it went flying out of an ATV going 40. it was banged up. i tried cleaning it as best as i could because Christmas was so close. The shipping box was brand new so it wasn't damaged during shipping but as soon as i opened the box.. i was so upset. there was marks all over the thing. and it was taped to a piece of cardboard. terrible. But it does work really good. Just sucks that it had to look like garbage.

Took a bit to get used to, but once you figure it out, they really launch out there.
