Perfect for Indoor Cycling
I bought this controller to work as a Keyboard to use with cycling apps like Rouvy and MyWhoosh. I use it with my Lenovo Tablet, I downloaded the software app and mapped the buttons to use for virtual shifting, some for Rouvy and other buttons for MyWhoosh. Works perfect with those apps. The quality of the product is quite good, it was easy to map, the size is very compact and perfect for my bike. We'll see about the battery life. But so far is really good. I mounted it on a cycle computer mount.

Perfect for what it is!
For what it's sold as, this product is perfect. Take the verbiage of this 'mini controller' literal. For me, a casual JRPG player, I bought this exclusively for the Delta Emulator on IOS (make sure to have Delta keep the same skin on the as if you were using the virtual controller skin. This way your controller fits right over the virtual controller). I get to play for 20-60 minute bursts a few times a week and this is perfect since everything fits in my pocket, has the 8Bitdo quality we've come to know and love (I own many controllers from them).

Good Controller in a tiny package
If you're looking for a cheap, easy to take with you controller for retro games, I can't recommend this enough. I've been using it for a little while and it's good for the price. I know if I ever need another controller, I'll be looking at what 8Bitdo has to offer first

Great mount, top right left button sticks, powers on in pocket
Its the closest thing to a good controller in this size. The screen mount is something ive been looking for for years. Unfortunately it tends to power on in my pocket and then when i want to use it the battery is dead. Also, the top right trigger leftmost trigger sticks after a bit of usage. It happened on both controllers i have bought. I need that button for street fighter. The positive note is that it has a better dpad than most of these retro devices have. Of course not as good as a nintendo or sony dpad.

Easy to use, perfect for on-the-go gaming
Got this for playing a SNES and PlayStation emulator on my phone. Easy set up, and, despite small size, feels good in my hands. Recommended.

Clip design limits its use case; buttons hard and small
Its a decent idea: a very small and pocketable controller that turns any phone into a game boy, game boy advance, etc. The clip works in portrait mode, like the original game boy, and I think it would work on a flip phone like a RAZR too. The controller is easy to set up, the clip and the assembly come together quickly and don't take much room. The controller works with Switch and any other bluetooth enabled device. You can even use this to control presentations and other apps. However, there are many compromises and an odd design choice. First, the buttons are firm as heck. You don't have a lot of purchase with your hands since the controller essentially rests on the phone. So any extra effort to press buttons gets absorbed by the clip mechanism. The d-pad is okay. The face buttons a little firmer and the shoulder buttons are about unusable. It doesn't help that you want your fingers behind the phone to support the phone. But then you need to have your pointer fingers in front of the phone to press the triggers, so your fingers are split by your phone. The other big issue is the way the controller rests on your phone. In the pic, you can see that when the controller is not in use, it rests 2-3 mm off of the screen. However, when you start to press the d-pads or buttons, it squishes down to the screen. So this flexibility affects accuracy and control of your game. You end up having to support the phone and controller in a way that doesn't cause the controller to move so much and it ends up not being comfortable to game on. Its 8bitDo, so they're a great company that makes terrific controllers that are going to last forever. But why would they use this odd design make the clip use just so weird. As a tiny controller to have on your keychain, this is a great option and you can could easily play some Nintendo or Genesis while waiting for the train or bus. But as a primary game controller its just too compromised to recommend.

Pretty handy controller
I use it mainly on my phone for DS games and it works pretty well. The controls are responsive and it holds well onto the phone. The only thing I will note is be wary of screen space, you might have to do some resizing for more vertical uses if you want the controller attached to the phone since it covers a bit of the screen. But it's a small downside and entirely dependent on what you're playing. It seems to be the smallest controller available with a phone clip, so it's great for on the go stuff and it's worked well with every device I've paired it to!

Just a Little Guy!
Tiny little controller that fits right in your pocket! I've been using it on my Phone to play some retro emulators, Works perfectly for most titles that don't use an analogue stick. And just fun as a fidget as well! It's a major step up from using touch controls but can feel a touch uncomfortable for extended sessions.

controller itself is awesome but the mobile clip was disappointing
I would recommend buying just the controller on its own and not bother with the mobile clip. found the clip was difficult to use with my phone (Pixel 9 pro). I used this primarily while flying so i just ended up leaning the phone on the tray table and using the controller separate from the mobile clip. i have the SN30 pro phone clip as well which worked much better than this one

Tiny but well funtional controller
Pros: • Tiny, lightweight, portable, small enough you could use as a keychain • Comes with clip to attach to phone in a vertical format • Various connection options including Keyboard mode • Works with Switch (Switch 2 requires an update to the controller) • Manages to contain most controls required for many games despite the tiny size Cons: • The Latency isn't too great being Bluetooth • Limitations of such a cramped design, the shoulder buttons are difficult to use when on a phone. • Might need a PC to update it to be used with Switch 2 The 8bitdo Micro has been around for a little while now however this version comes with a new clip for attaching directly to a phone for a vertical gaming experience for any programs that support scaling the game to the top of the screen such as Retroarch. The clip is a simple spring mount that is padded on the backside and consists of two halves that need to be snapped together before use. There is a notch that needs to be lined up where the two halves connect and it takes a fair amount of pressure to get it properly in place. If the clip does not sit flush against your screen its not inserted all the way. The clip will open up to just under 9cm or 3.5in which is big enough for most phones but not tablets of course. As for the controller itself its quite functional with three modes, Switch, Dinput and to my surprise Keyboard input mode which I will touch on in a second. Switch obviously is used for that platform, but if you want to use it with Switch 2 you will probably need to do an update to the controller which requires a PC and the Firmware Updater software from 8bitdo along with a USB-C cable to connect it (a tiny one is included.) Dinput is the more standard input mode used for Android as well as generic PC use, however this also has a Keyboard mode which if you download the Ultimate App you can actually reassign every single button on the controller to keyboard inputs including Macros which opens up more flexibility, I wish you could do that with their other controllers as well. Dpad and the Face buttons are all membrane and have a good feel to them despite being small. The Dpad doesn't even seem to have much of any issues with false diagonals, though rolling though diagonals when you need to is also a little more tricky especially with the size. Shoulder buttons and all other face buttons are clicky. L2 and R2 are very small and difficult to hit if used, and all shoulder buttons are a little more difficult to use if you mount this on a phone screen unfortunately. The casing has no grip pads or much texturing but does have a nice matte finish which isn't too difficult to grip as it is especially since it weighs practically nothing. It is super tiny, but perfectly usable if your hand's are not too big. If you can use a Joycon, you can probably make this work The biggest downside for me is I find the latency isn't too great which what I was expecting for a Bluetooth only gamepad. Tried a few different games from different titles and there was always just that little bit of extra input lag. I can get used to it and many might not even notice, but its defiantly not as snappy as a corded or 2.4Ghz device. It's still usable but if you are someone who plays quick platformers or fighters you are going to notice more. This might also vary between devices, I tested it on two phones which felt a little slow, however with my laptop it felt more responsive.

Compact and responsive micro-sized gaming controller for Android, Switch and PC
I really like this "Micro Bluetooth Gamepad" from 8BitDo! In typical 8BitDo fashion the overall build quality is excellent and the documentation is clear and concise. I found that mounting and configuring the controller took very little time, although I feel like I'm missing something trying to understand the use case where you cover up half your mobile phone screen to use this. Pairing on the various platforms (Nintendo Switch, Android and PC) was effortless and the included instructions make it very simple. The majority of my extended testing was on some fun Android games, namely Crossy Road and Pac-Man 256 and both games were an absolute blast using this controller. I honestly expected my fingers and hands to get cramped from using such a small device but the energy and effort required to hold this controller and articulate the buttons is virtually nothing. I was unable to detect any latency at all via Bluetooth while playing any games. The recommended app from the Google Play store is called "8BitDo Ultimate Software" (NOT the V2 app with the same name!). It is useful for testing your buttons and creating profiles you can use to remap buttons as you see fit. It wasn't a great experience but it does work if you are patient. I recommend pairing your controller through the native device settings before you do anything with the app. Overall, the experience with this controller was an excellent one and this is clearly the MOST compact format I've used in 40+ years of gaming. Getting a second one would be amazing for head to head gaming on any platform you choose. Highly recommended!
