I love this stuff. When I first tried it, I tasted it and went, "Ugh, weird, unpleasant." Thirty seconds later I wanted some more. Strange. I can see why some people don't like it. Give it a couple of tries, though. It's a strong and different taste and it takes a little bit to realize that it's good. My mother disliked it at first and likes it now. It really activates the tastes of spices, making them taste stronger, so be careful. I originally bought it as an occasional supplement for my parrot, but I eat most of it. She does like it, though. This is a good price, and it's from Ghana. Don't get palm oil from Asia, the growing practices there are harmful to orangutans. In West Africa, palm oil production doesn't contribute to deforestation, so this stuff is good for all great apes, including you.

The product itself is great. I'm hardly an expert and mostly use it for frying eggs, but it has a rich color and tastes good. The bottle with its narrow neck is not so great for non-tropical climates where the oil is mostly solid at room temperature. After the first few uses, where I can scoop it out with a butter knife, I have to warm it up and pour it into a different container to keep using it.

The product meets the standard

I got this because of Dr. Oz. I've been taking 1 tbs. a day. Who knows if it is doing anything at all. Tastes like poison! Also the price is very very high for this product but when Dr. Oz mentions something, that is what happens. It is organic, red, and palm oil so that's what I ordered and that's what I got. I can't even imagine cooking with this oil, but others are, so maybe I'll try it. Right now I hold my nose and down the spoonful and quickly drink my coffee. Cheers!

I don’t like the smell of this oil . It has a rancid smell. This red palm oil smoke up the whole place . It turns into a clear oil like vegetable oil no hint of red oil . So i am update this product from three stars to one star.
