Foot operated can crusher for steel and ally cans.
I had one of these can crushers before so know what to expect. It takes a lot of force to use, especially on the larger cans. I have mine in the corner of my kitchen so I can hold onto the sideboard with both hands while standing on the can crusher. You would need to be a weight lifter to crush steel cans by the strength of your leg and foot alone and holding on allows me to put all my weight of 140 Lbs on this crusher. It often does not crusher straight away and has to be stood on for a few seconds for the larger cans, Some people who do not expect it to be hard may not get on with it but, I knew what it would be like from past experience. I used it outside when I last had one, but using it inside though easier, can really only be done on a floor which is not going to be damaged. Holding on and trying to crush some cans can be a problem as you can only use one foot on this. But as I say I had one before, wanted a strong crusher which this is! And if you crush mainly aluminium can it will be very easy! I crush exclusively steel food cans as I do not drink, but would recommend this to anyone as long as they can balance OK or have somewhere to hold on while crushing Very strong very good crusher crushing cans to about 1/5, or 20% the size.mrbluenun

A CRUSH'O'MANIAC'S DELIGHT
Many of us need a destructive physical activity to vent our frustrations and repressed inner-selves. This natty comparatively inexpensive device fills this role nicely. After 10 minutes of strenuously bending up and down, and exerting a fair amount of downward thrust with your leg you, if you are approaching 70 and overweight like 'moi', will have worked up a sweat, be somewhat breathless and have little inclination let alone energy to chase next door's squatting cat off your lawn or berate the newspaper boy for his tardiness. The can crusher does what it says it does admirably although I think it needs users with a bit of 'beef' as opposed to those of a lighter and/or frail disposition. Time only will tell whether our quest for recycling compactness is strong enough to make us long term users of this machine. It might be that next door's cat and the paper boy once again become the main 'frustration venting' activity. We'll have to wait and see.

Works OK after a bit of practice.
Does crush cans OK provided they do not slip off the platform before beginning to compress. Care needs to be taken as it can quite easily tip sideways when foot pressure is applied and stout shoes needs to be worn as it lethal when used wearing slippers!

Great product - but.............
The product is pretty easy to use and doesn't take too much pressure to crush those "tin" cans like soup/dog food/beans etc which would be difficult by a hand version. The tin doesn't slip and neither does the unit. All in all a very good product. The only teeny thing bugging me is that it's available at different prices depending how you find the item. Some dearer and some cheaper. Not sure if the seller, called Good Ideas via Tensor Marketing, plays the field a bit. Left me a bit disgruntled when I found I could have got it for £5.00 in their sale. I paid £12.00 which is ok, but it's not £5.00 is it. Also in their catalogue it says the price is £14.99 pre sale. When I emailed them I got a courteous reply totally missing the point.Hmm.......

Can crusher
Crushes cans into a good size which saves alot of space.... Fault is that it is difficult to keep can in place to crush...

Simple but effective!
I couldnt belive this when i recieved this item, it was soooooo simple, infact i thought the item was 'incomplete' or something was missing from it.. I thought it would never work, but credit where due, it does the job quite easy & saves me a lot of recycling space! Good item.

Invaluable
Operated by foot, It's tough and capable of crushing dog food cans completely flat with little effort. It folds flat for storage, and I'm expecting years of service from it. It would be possible to further reduce the effort needed to operate it if the top jaw were extended by attaching a short length of wood or steel plate about 25cm long by 12 cm wide.
