Love this music!

As soon as I watched A Star is Born with Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga, I had a feeling the Soundtrack would be unbelievable. It was. I couldn't wait to order the Soundtrack CD and the Movie when it was released on DVD. Whether you see the movie or not, the album is worth buying. It has a small audio clip prior to each song as it relates to the scene in the movie. It is a separate track so it's easy to skip over. For me, I didn't mind being reminded of the scene in the movie with the audio clips associated with the song. Right away I believed the movie and much more would be Oscar-worthy. I also believe the music/songs would win awards as well. There are two soundtracks to choose from. One Explicit (a few F-bombs on the audio clips) and one non-Explicit CD. You won't be disappointed. **When I received the CD, the case was cracked and essentially useless. I would have sent it back, however I didn't want to wait the long wait for a new one so I kept it cracked case and all. Yes, it was that good.

I cannot begin to count the number of times that I have listened to this superb soundtrack. Lady Gaga is a revelation and there's no question that she has profoundly expanded her fan base with her gifted vocals here and inspired song writing! She presents an altogether flawless offering in A Star is Born! Her cover of Edith Piaf's La Vie En Rose brought me to tears! ( I would LOVE to see Gaga record an album of ONLY Edith Piaf and Judy Garland songs. Gaga has the pipes, the nuance, the texture, depth of expression and inspired vocals which in my humble opinion place her in the pantheon of ALL TIME GREATEST female vocalists)!! I must also add that Bradley Cooper's performances aren't too shabby either! The guy certainly did his homework and upped his game so that the collaboration between he and Lady Gaga rings true! 5 STARS!!!

A good mix of Bradley cooper songs along with lady Gaga songs with some dialogue mixed in.

This soundtract provides all the songs from the current version of A Star is Born. I like the music very much and it crosses several genres. Although I would have preferred them keeping the music consistently more country throughout the entire film, the pop songs are okay, and the ballads excellent. I only gave the album 4 Stars instead of 5 because I don't like the dialogue tracks included from the film. I think they should have offered a version without the dialogue--just the music please--so you'll have to make your own playlist from this if you want to hear only music and none of the talking. Otherwise I have nothing to criticize. It demonstrates that Lady Gaga is not just a fashion plate, but she is truly talented and cross musical genres as well as act.

I saw the movie. I've seen all the prior movies. Judy Garland was my favorite until I saw this new version with Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. I bought the soundtrack. I listened to the soundtrack. I watched the movie again. I listened to the soundtrack again. I like the way that the soundtrack follows chronologically with the movie. I liked how they have actual audio from the movie in between the songs on the soundtrack. It reminds me of a great broadway play like My Fair Lady or Fiddler on the Roof. it stays with you for days, weeks- roaming around in your head. And its all very enjoyable.

Perché solo gli angeli lo dicono come te Non si può non ascoltare la colonna sonora del meraviglioso film, A star is born, dal primo all'ultimo brano. Anche le tracce che riproducono brevi dialoghi tratti dalla pellicola, contribuiscono a creare la perfetta armonia di questo capolavoro di genio, talento e professionalità poliedriche. Con il loro susseguirsi, nella varietà di generi musicali in cui si esprimono, esse trascinano nella struggente storia d'amore (magistralmente narrata, diretta ed interpretata sul grande schermo), lungo l'evoluzione dei sentimenti di Ally e Jack, i quali si scoprono a vicenda ma scoprono anche sé stessi, travolgendo in un turbinio di emozioni e toccando le molteplici corde dell'anima. In particolare, Shallow, Always remember us this way, Is that alright, Before i cry ed I'll never love again, rapiscono anima e ragione, specie quando il piano, potente e virtuoso, compone ed esalta la bellezza e la forza della voce e della musica. Ma tutti i componimenti travolgono, emozionano, donano energia ed entusiasmo e poi, di nuovo, ti fanno sussultare il cuore, ti suscitano brividi. Come quando senti Ally-Stefani con l'appassionata e stupenda dichiarazione d'amore di Is that alright (anche nella poche sillabe della prima ripresa, cantate con voce rotta), evocare tutta l'intensità della storia. Brano relegato, purtroppo, nei titoli di coda del film e che Ally dedica a Jack, accompagnandosi al pianoforte, in una scena di festa del matrimonio, esclusa al montaggio e visibile nel video ufficiale della canzone. Quindi li ascolti, uno dopo l'altro e poi ancora, senza mai "saltare" una traccia. E ti conducono, all'unisono, a quell'epilogo drammatico, che era noto, certo, ma che qui viene reso con impeccabile maestria e suggellato dal tributo finale all'amore puro ed al talento, che è I'll never love again. Sia il film che la colonna sonora, oltre a rivelare il grande talento, anche in musica, di Bradley Cooper (quello di Lady Gaga era conclamato) e di Stefani Germanotta (anche nella recitazione), mi hanno suscitato, altresì, una riflessione, sempre intrisa di emozione, sul cammino che porta a realizzare i propri obiettivi e che in America (terra in cui si può realizzarli - i sogni -, con dedizione e sacrificio), si esprime appieno, incarnando la meta di chi li vuole perseguire. Come ha ribadito Lady Gaga alla cerimonia di consegna degli Oscar 2019 «Ho lavorato a lungo per tanto tempo e, sapete una cosa, non si tratta di vincere ma si tratta di non arrendersi. Se avete un sogno, combattete per realizzarlo [...] ci vuole disciplina per la passione. E non si tratta di quante volte siete stati respinti, siete caduti o siete stati sconfitti. Si tratta di quante volte vi siete rialzati ed avete avuto il coraggio per andare avanti». Nel ricordare le origini italiane di entrambi gli autori-interpreti (e anche di Alberto Bof, il pianista genovese della band, trapiantato a Los Angeles), amo pensare che parte di quella creatività e di quel talento affondino le loro radici nella nostra bella e ricca Terra; fertile madre di arte e bellezza. Ma quella creatività e quel talento sono stati coltivati, valorizzati e svelati molto lontano da qui. Vorrei concludere affermando che io amo quest'opera, per ciò che comunica e per come lo comunica e, citando le parole di Jack-Bradley, «perché solo gli angeli lo dicono come te».
