Worked as expected. No major complains. Very good price.
I develop Windows/Linux Python applications for preliminary evaluation of dozens of I2C and SPI devices before moving them to embedded solutions with microcontrollers. I have 4 different USB-I2C devices, including this one, ViewTool Ginko VTG204C (I have other 2 Ginko models). The device works as expected but there is a couple of hours "learning curve" dealing with the software and understanding how to communicate with I2C devices. Nonetheless, once you learn how to do that, you can develop your own library in Python based on the available Ginko library. In this way, you can automatically recognize and communicate with all your I2C devices. However, if you just want to open a Windows application and test or communicate with your I2C device, you may find a way to do that with the available Ginko software in less than 1h.What I did not like:1) The documentation is a little bit confuse in explaining when to use each different software - nonetheless, it is much better than many options from other vendors.2) The Ginko model is not identified at the device - no label!! Since I have 3 different Ginko models, I had to print my own labels for identification purposes (although there is a way to use the software to identify the Gino model, if necessary).
