At SparkFun, we continue to innovate, update and improve our development board. There are multiple versions of the SparkFun RedBoard in our catalog, but no R3 form factor with Qwiic connectors to make I2C easier. SparkFun RedBoard Qwiic is compatible with Arduino development boards and uses several features that you have loved by previous boards and incorporating several important improvements than the original RedBoard. The most important part of the RedBoard Qwiic is that we use our convenient Qwiic connection system (as the name implies), so the rest of the system requires no soldering or shielding

Of course, we don't just add a Qwiic connector to your board. Try all new additions to make your SparkFun RedBoard Qwiic unique. With the improved AP2112 voltage regulator, this reboard gets a more robust 3.3V regulator, providing multiple Qwiic boards and sensors to the daisy chain, providing up to 600mA current. To support Micro USB connector(Update from Mini USB), the CH340C Serial USB Converter IC helps RedBoard Qwiic reduce the need to install drivers, and allows the new operating system to automatically recognize and install. Finally, we added a few solder jumpers to the board. The A4 pin and A5 pin jumper can be tied directly to the I2C bus, used to cut the logic level converter from the pin. The voltage level jumper can switch RedBoardQwiic from 3.3V devices to 5V devices (no logic level converter).
