The front cover of this book just screams Friends; from the font and colour used on the title to the famous orange couch that the cast sat on in Centrel Perk. I love that under the title there is three umbrellas one yellow, red and blue which the cast use in the opening credits of the show. As soon as I found out about this book I knew that I had to buy it, being a super fan and all!!!!! (Well so I thought!) I was only 10 years old when Friends started, so I didn't really start watching it till I was about 14 maybe 15. (all though now I have watched all the episodes now, more than a few times I might add!!!!!!) I'll Be There For You is packed full of information from one of the most famous American sitcoms of the 90's. Kelsey has left no stone unturned as the book starts with the writers and how Friends came about, to choosing the cast to how they thought it was going to be a flop and much more. I have to say I really thought I was a Friends super fan but on reading this book I know now that there was so much I didn't know. I absorbed all those facts and learning in more depth about the show and the people who were involved. I really enjoyed reading this wonderfully written book about a show I still love so dear. As I said earlier I thought I was a super fan before I started reading this book... well I defiantly am now!!!!!!! For me Friends a show I will always go back and watch; its like a cosy blanket wrapping around you with laughter!

If you love friends then you're really enjoy reading this book. I consider myself a super fan of friends and have seen every episode many many many times. Nonetheless I found there were many interesting facts in this book that I didn't previously know. I found at times it red very similar to to professional articles which was different to what I'm used to reading, but I found that every chapter flowed excellently and I learnt so much about friends

A really great book for fans of the show, one that you may ACTUALLY learn something new from.

A must have for any friends fan, behind the scenes info and insight in to how friends was received around the world. I like the reasoning behind why main issues were left out and why it was made super serious. Friends is a must have in my house and this book showed me its the same for others :)

I started watching Friends when I was 10 years old. I loved it, partly because at the time of its airing I was thinking about becoming an American. Ludicrous, I know but it was what I wanted to be, like how some people want to be pilots or lawyers. Anyway, even after I realised that it wasn’t something you could just ‘be’ I still loved the program. I have watched it many times since and I still find it hilariously funny. I even get most of the jokes now – ones that I certainly did not get as a child. Kelsey Miller examines the phenomenon of Friends and gives a history of how the show started and how it lasted so long and why even today, 25 years since its original airing it is still as popular as it once was. I knew the moment I found out about the release of this book I had to have it! I’ve always LOVED Friends. This show really shaped me when I was growing up. It’s been such a big part of my life, and I’d like to think that a lot of my humorous personality comes from this show. This book gave me that extra dose of Friends I haven’t had in many years. It’s exciting to know the show is still very much alive, and there’s so many of us who still consider the show our top favorite OF ALL TIME! It was so interesting to read how it all started, how the cast came to be the cast.. I learned so many things I had no clue, about my favorite show! It also really opened my eyes to many topics I had never thought of regarding the show, its people, and its humor. I have read it, and I have also listened to the audiobook version, and I feel it will be the kind of novel that will never get old to read. And of course, right after I finished reading the book, I started watching the show.. It has that impact.. I recommend to all original fans of the show, and new ones. You will find so much more then what you’re expecting from this book! Anfänglich war ich nicht ganz so glücklich über die Tatsache, dass das Buch in einem Zustand zugeliefert worden ist, als wäre es nicht neu. Es war gewellt und sah einfach benutzt aus. Ich glaube allerdings, dass das an den kalten Temperaturen lag, wodurch sich das Cover und die Seiten dann eben etwas verformt haben. Inhaltlich: Klare Kaufempfehlung! Wie toll ist das Buch denn bitte? Für jeden Hardcore Friends fan ist das ein Muss. Man erfährt so viel mehr über die Show, was einfach schön ist, wenn man jede Staffel knapp 50+ Mal gesehen hat und nun neue Dinge über Friends "sieht". 😁 Ich bin mehr als glücklich, das Buch geholt zu haben.
