So glad to finally find this!
I have been looking for a long cable to work with my VW Tiquan and my iPhone for awhile...so happy to finally have this. The only thing I wish it could do is to play music through the AUX, but I can play music from my phone through Bluetooth and the sound is still really good! It reaches my smart phone mount..this is a huge plus, and charges my phone.

Works great. Great cable length.
It works great! Audi quoted me $92 for that cable. It is the perfect length to connect it and keep my phone on the center. I wish I could control the features through the car music system, but it was advertised that that is not a feature. A very good alternative to paying audi’s Crazy prices.

Works great
Purchased it for my 2010 Audi A5 and it works perfect and also bought it fir my sons A4 2012 and he loves it. Awesome product and highly recommend it.

Returned.
Doesn’t provide MMI interface. It’s supposed to charge and work like an AUX. I say supposed to be cause the connection is clunky, sometimes charging the iPhone and sometimes not. A better solution is to find the Apple 8 pin to lightening adapter on eBay because Apple doesn’t sell them anymore. Then just put it on the end of the Audi 8 pin and it works perfectly including the interface.

No continuous connection
I purchased this mdi cable to use in my 2012 Passat. After attempting to use this, it continuously disconnected from my phone and would constantly charge, then stop charging every 3-5 seconds. I would recommend anybody attempting to use this for their VW to steer far away from this product as it does not do what it claims it does. I was better off using my Bluetooth connection in my car for source of media than this cable.

Did the trick
Worked perfectly for hooking up my iPhone 8 on my 2009 Audi Q7 so I could listen to my playlist.

It’s garbage!
This cable is garbage. I had it for not even an entire day and the end that plugs into the phone broke off when unplugging the phone normally. Total waste of money.

Only transfers audio. No radio controls or steering wheel controls
Works well for audio so far it seems to be holding up fine just be carful with it. It does not transfer the data tho so radio controls and steering wheel controls do not work with it only transfers audio. If that’s all you need then this works good for that.
