This will fail you. Don't buy it!
The machine failed after about 1 month's use. I sent it back and its came back to me as a "certified repair" Within the last 10 months it has totally failed. I used it about 5 times during that time. I have consigned to the garbage now where it seems perfectly at home. You may ask, "Why didn't you send it back again?" And I would reply, "Because I don't want it to be returned to me again as a "certified repair." LaCie STJJ5000400 Portable Hard Drive, 5TB Rugged Mini USB 3.0 is a heap of junk. I will NEVER use this company again. I would give zero stars if it was possible.

書き込み速度が遅いですねぇ、USB3.0なのに 家電量販店で買ったWD社の5TBが半日で書き込んだ4.5TBのデータ量の書き込みに丸3日かかるってのはどうなのでしょうか バックアップ用なのでこれからすぐに壊れなければいいのですが・・・

手元に来るまで気付けなかった…欲しかったのはUSB type-Cのモノでした。本体の接続口がUSB microBでした…本体の接続口がtype-Cのモノが欲しかったんですが、よく見てませんでした。 この製品の種類を選ぶ中でtype-C/type-Cのモノはちゃんとあるので、よく見てご購入してもらえたらと思います。実際本体の性能は使ってみてほぼ変わりない印象でした。
