Great Book for a beginner to know about Iliad and Odyssey...

The story of the great epics, The Iliad and The Odyssey is rendered in simple English. It's indeed a fantastic read. To put in a mild way, unputdownable!

No color used. Only black and white illustrations .
Bought this book thinking it'd be a kid-friendly abridged version of the Iliad and Odyssey with atleast some colorful illustrations, like the individual books by Ms. Cross. But it's a simple paperback with a few black and white illustrations, that aren't going to appeal to under 10 kids. So if you need a colorful edition for children, go for the individual hardcovers by the same author. Lesson learnt - Don't judge a book by its colorful cover!
