Easy to assemble and install; very sturdy and hold heavy hanging plants in addition to my bird feeder and bird bath. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Perfect sturdiness and height for my birdseed & duet feeders!Compared to a single pole feeder, this pole has multiple feet which hold it securely in the ground. It also makes it easier to square the pole up, so it doesn’t lean.I added the baffle separately. My only issue was the pole is so narrow in diameter that we had to permanently mount the baffle to the pole, because the mounting hardware wasn’t tight enough on the pole & the baffle would slide down the pole.

This double hook is very sturdy. The 4 prongs (vs 1 or two on many other brands) holds in place. I have sandy soil so I did use additional 10" landscape pins and some rocks on top, but now that it has been up in heavy winds and hasn't moved an inch, I am not sure the additional support was necessary. A little expensive for a shepherd's hook, but I'm glad I paid the extra money for one that is sturdy.

Let's get the negatives out of the way first-As others have said, the bottom of the 4 prongs are flat, not chiseled. Unless the soil is quite soft, you are not going to be able to sink all 4 prongs simultaneously - which is what you have to do to mount the pole without a lean. We purchased this for our seasonal stay at an RV park with lots of clay and gravel under the grass. I ended up removing a patch of sod and used a small trowel to hand dig a pit to set the prongs into, refill the pit and reset the sod.While this device is solid enough to set with a mallet, that lovely powder coat paint is going to be removed and you will quickly get rust.As other reviewers have said, the manufacturer needs to take a closer look at its shipping packaging. I had a hole in my box - fortunately all the pieces were in the box and undamaged.What I liked-This is not a flimsily constructed device.Those 4 prongs give this hook a LOT more stability in all directions compared to the type with one central spike plus a single wire stabilizer.We bought the dual hook, but are still looking for the item we want on the 2nd hook - The hooks are separate pieces that simply slide into brackets. For now we have only one hook installed and it looks much better than an empty second hook. Further, as we are only at our stationary RV seasonally, it will be easy to remove the hooks and top half of the shaft and store them in the RV's storage bays. Hopefully that bottom half of the shaft isn't worth stealing (yeah even good RV parks can get itinerate miscreants) because I don't want to have to reinstall the base every year.

Certainly not worth the money!I bought this for several reasons, it was made in America and I knew it would ship promptly. Under the questions, there was a reply that said it was "very sturdy and could easily hold 2 planters." I liked the fact that it had 4 spikes at the bottom. Attempted to raise it part of the way up and hang 2 baskets, it IMMEDIATELY bent and would not hold the plants at any height, it had to be lowered to the lowest, about 3 ft off the ground. It is currently rusting and I don't think I've had it longer than 3 weeks. I paid a premium cost because it looked so sturdy, DO NOT BE FOOLED. Not worth the money!

Like many people who live in Florida, we always enjoyed the different varieties of birds here. But it wasn’t until we decided to get a bird feeder that we really appreciated the incredible diversity. We are now officially bird nerds! Here are the products that have made it happen: For the bird feeder, we went with  Perky-Pet 312 Panorama Bird Feeder, 2 lbs . We ordered two and I suggest you do as well. The birds will usually go back and forth between one and the other and it will allow more of them at one time. These are easy to fill and have been the perfect size for birds to visit. For the poles, we started with the  GrayBunny GB-6817D Double Shepherd Hook 65 Inch Heavy Duty 1/2 Inch Thick Rust Resistant Steel With Two Twin Hooks, Hang Planters Bird Feeders Mason Jars Lanterns Plant Baskets Solar Lights & Weddings  which is an excellent product, but unfortunately didn’t extend high enough to go above bushes outside our lanai (we installed it so we could see the birding action from our dinner table). We replaced that with the  Erva Adjustable Double Shepherd Hook, Black, 4' 6" to 7'H  that has an adjustable arm that goes up to 86” high and is now perfect. For the feed, we chose  Cole's Wild Bird Products BR10 Blue Ribbon Blend, 10 Pounds  based on reviews. Does it work? So far, our feeder has attracted woodpeckers, blue jays, brown thrashers, grackles, wrens, titmice, cardinals, mourning doves, finches and wild parrots! We had to print out a bird identification sheet to recognize them all. We also bought the  Gosky 10x42 Binoculars for Adults, Compact HD Professional Binoculars for Bird Watching Travel Stargazing Hunting Concerts Sports-BAK4 Prism FMC Lens-With Phone Mount Strap Carrying Bag  and they are amazing. Their built in adapter for smartphones will be useful for bird closeups as well as trips. Pick up a “bird nerd” t-shirt and you’re officially in the club.

I was skeptical. Read the reviews plus and minus. Tore myself up and down over the expensive price. In the end took the chance and bought it. Am I happy with this product. It was better than I expected. We had huge 60 mile an hour winds here and this held up. It is sturdy and I just cannot say enough about how much I love it

Very well designed and great manufacturing quality. Two of the four base prongs can be adjusted if there are obstructions. This was higher priced than another one I looked at and I am glad I spent the extra money. This item will function well and for a long time.
