Pentair 98209800 High Flow Manual Relief Valve Replacement Pool and Spa Filter

This Pentair high flow manual relief valve is a perfect replacement part and works exactly as intended. Installation was quick and simple, and it fit my Pentair filter housing without any issues. The build quality feels solid, and the valve opens and closes smoothly with no leaks. It makes bleeding air from the system easy and efficient, which helps keep the filter running at peak performance. It’s a small part but very important for proper filter operation, and this one does the job well.

These fit my Pentair pool filter lid perfectly. I do wish they included some plumber's tape with this considering how much you pay for these parts. They are working great in the new pool filter lid. Very good quality parts.

This seems to be OEM and was very easy to install. Maybe 5 minutes? The old relief valve was the original that came with the filter housing which is about 5 years old. The problem I was having is the valve would open just fine but when closing it, it would not “lock down”. Meaning it simply would not turn all the way so that the tab went into the flat part giving the feeling that the valve was completely closed and would not work itself open due to vibration or pressure. I assume some bit of debris must be lodged in there somewhere causing this issue but it’s easier to just replace the entire valve. New one works as designed and locks down as it should. No more concern that it will “pop itself” open and spew water everywhere.

Just a quick comment to say after 5 years this broke on me. I am not mad at that at all as it is so reasonably priced. Just wanted to share my experience. Very easy install, worked well on my Pentair CCP240 Clean and Clear Plus Pool and Spa Cartridge Filter, 90-GPM

Genuine parts and does what it's supposed to do. Not sure Wyatt comes with the air relief clip and no sock to put over it but it is nice to get both of these genuine parts together for less than half the price of what only one of them costs in a pool store.

The gauge and pressure regulator valve worked great to replace my existing 3 year old parts. The removal and installation was easier than expected and the new parts fit well without leaks. I did use Teflon tape as the instructions suggested.
