KabelDirekt – Pure Copper Stereo Audio Speaker Wire & Cable – Made in Germany – 16 AWG Gauge – 50 feet – (for HiFi Speakers and Surround Sound Systems, Pure Copper, with Polarity Markings)

This is my first experience with KabelDirekt speaker cable, I have always used MaxBrite 14 gauge and Monoprice 12 gauge 99.9% OFC cables in the past. However, this time I needed 100 ft of clear 14 gauge and KabelDirekt's price on Amazon for OFC cable was superior, so I decided to give it a try. I used it to cable up an old 200w receiver to a Polk PSW-10 subwoofer and some Klipsch R-15M bookshelf speakers that I had sitting around new in the box. The results were excellent, the cable was easy to work with and not too stiff, the clear jacket was easy to strip using a ChannelLock wire stripper. My subwoofer has pushpin pressure blocks instead of screw/banana posts, and I typically customize the cable by tinning about a half inch of copper with some good old real 60/40 Pb/Tn rosin core solder. You could tell this was good copper (and not plated aluminum) just by how well the wire strands pulled in the molten solder via capillary action, this stuff really sucked it up and resulted in fine finished ends. Bottom line, if you are on the fence about this product, I wholeheartedly recommend you give it a try, and don't think you will regret it. The 100 ft quantity is a good price, and the quality is excellent and every bit as good as other well known brands. I always compare pricing before I buy, and I would not hesitate to purchase KabelDirekt again in the future should I require more.

Great Product, all copper

I find all KabelDirect products to be excellent. I used this product to run approximately 15 feet from my receiver to my speakers...no noticeable loss.

This is a decent speaker cable with good real ofc copper 16 gauge! I used this 16awg ofc to splice in a second subwoofer to my Samsung Q990C soundbar as well has add external side surround and front and rear Atmos speakers! Overall good quality for the price, but the one thing I don’t like is how stiff the cable is. The pvc around the copper is thick but the strands are also thicker which makes the wire harder to bend. Only an issue is trying to run the wire in Certain scenarios. Side note, after getting this wire 50ft 16awg, I bought the Amazon basics 14awg inwall speaker wire in white 100ft for about $5 more. The flexibility of both wires (excluding the hard white outer shell) have about the same flexibility. I think I’ll have to spend more $$ if I want a truly flexible speaker wire.

Detailed and sweet cable. I bought twice and switched three pair speaker cables to this one. I use jbl 4311b, hsl 8200 and polk mornitor 70. They are all noticeable from Monster to Kabel Direct. I use Rogers ls 3/5a too, also swiched to this cable.

This is made in Germany and claims to be Pure Oxygen Free Copper (OFC). I think to save weight on shipping, it does not come on a spool but is wound nicely. It comes with a card and contact information for Service, Support, & Warranty in Germany. As soon as I picked up this 14 gauge wire I could feel it was heavier and thicker than my old 16 gauge. Do not try to separate the ends by hands since the jacket is thicker. Use a sharp utility blade to get a clean cut in-between the positive and negative wires. For the ends I used Amazon Basics self crimping, gold plated zinc (non-magnetic) banana plugs. Non-magnetic metals are the way to go since magnetic metals can have a negative effect on the audio signal. These sound great on my Left, Center, & Right speakers. This was for short runs of 2 x 8' and 1 x 4'. For unshielded wire I think it sounds better than the 16 gauge, shielded, 20yr old Monster Cable it replaced. I would definitely recommend this speaker wire to anyone looking to upgrade their speaker connections.

I had a vintage Nikko stereo receiver where one channel started having a different tone than the other. That channel had a weaker output as well. So I sold that receiver and replaced it with a higher-powered Nikko. Soon, the same problem popped up. It seemed like too much of a coincidence, so this time I replaced the speaker wire. The old speaker wire was a high gauge (small conductor), copper/aluminum mix, kluged together from 2 or 3 lengths of wire for each speaker. Replacing the speaker wire not only fixed the difference between the channels, but it improved the sound of the receiver tremendously. Honestly, I wouldn't have believed it if you told me the difference it would make, especially on the low frequency parts. It's like I bought new speakers.

Worked as expected, Good quality and a fair price

I used this wire almost a year for my denon amp to connect with SVS speakers system. Very good quality. No any lags, bumming noise, Pure sound output you get serves best👍

I bought this item three times: just to replace my 25 years-old Monster cable for speakers. The first time( 50 ft) didn't cover all my job.The second round did it all ; but my cuts in both cases were too straight, kind of too short, not allowing room for speakers cleanup and maintenance; as results some bananas plugs used in combination to perform the speakers wiring got slightly bent. The third buy is making some existing wiring longer and provide the ability for moving attached devices back and forth or around. The cable doesn't strech and is Oxygen Free Copper; the sound is perfect: fine, clear and clean, all great compare to the one of my old cable which was little heavy. In all it's a Great product for a fair price. Thanks!

Great cable - 14 gauge is perfect for a small lounge room. I installed a new 5.1.4 speaker system using this cable along with a heap of banana plugs and a couple of speaker cable wallplates. Make sure you measure correctly (especially for in-ceiling runs) - I underestimated what I needed (I ordered one 100ft roll plus a 50ft roll). I had to order an additional 50ft roll later. Would have been cheaper to get two 100ft rolls in the first place. Love the red line on one side to indicate the positive wire - more intuitive than the usual white line.

un muy excelente cable para audio en casa o en car audio especialmente si tu sistema no tiene cable 100% cobre (si tu sistema ya tiene cable 100% cobre y es del mismo calibre o mas grueso creo que no notaras diferencia al cambiarlo), este cable se lleva a varios por la calidad-precio ya que para conseguir un cable de marca reconocida de estas mismas características por el mismo precio que este solo te estarás llevando de 5 a 10 metros a lo mucho. al instalar este cable para sustituir un cable de calidad baja de un set de medios de un sistema de car audio (amplificador arc audio ks 300.4 del cual los canales delanteros alimentan unos 2 tweeter dd audio VO-B2 y con los canales traseros 4 medios dd audio VO-M6.5 de los cuales cada par los tengo en paralelo en cada canal (todo lo manejo en modo estéreo no en modo mono no soy un monstro) y al momento de reproducir la música note de inmediato una mejora en la limpieza del audio y menor distorsión al subir el volumen. ventajas: 1- por el precio de este producto es una ganga ya que se lleva a varios de marca reconocida por el precio-calidad. 2-el protector es muy grueso y protege muy bien el cable. desventajas: 1- al ser el recubrimiento muy grueso es un poco difícil de maniobrar en instalación de car audio. 2- los cables no esta centrados al recubrimiento (incluso los de baja calidad están centrados), los cables están mas pegados hacia la orilla de la unión con el otro cable y es un poco difícil la separación bien cuando quieres para conectar de un amplificador a unos parlantes (te recomiendo una navaja para hacer la separación esto lo hace algo fácil), pero cuando lo quieres separar por completo para conectar unas bocinas o un subwoofer en serie es difícil hasta el punto que de uno de los lados el cobre se desprende del protector si no lo haces con mucho cuidado (yo diría que demasiado cuidado). pongo imágenes referente a la desventaja N° 2, los cables de mala calidad es de calibre 16.
