Bright, Durable, and Fully Submersible!
I installed the Wellmax 12V LED Trailer Lights on my boat trailer, and they’ve been fantastic. The LEDs are super bright, making my trailer highly visible day or night. I love that they’re fully submersible—no worries when launching the boat into the water. The build quality feels solid and durable, and installation was straightforward. They’ve held up perfectly in wet and rough conditions, and I haven’t had any issues with wiring or moisture. If you need reliable, long-lasting trailer lights, these are a top-notch choice!

Perfect Replacement for 1997 Escort Boat Trailer Incandescent Lights!
Purchased to replace incandescent lights which stopped working on the Escort boat trailer that came with my 1997 Capri 1950 Bayliner. Lights appear to be an excellent quality and build. All the hardware needed to mount the lights was present, mounting the lights was straight forward, and the lights fit perfectly! I used 'butt splice crimp heat shrink' connectors in place of the wire nuts provided with the lights. Matching the correct wires was relatively easy following the connections of the original lights although wire colors on the new lights did not entirely match those of the old. These LEDs are mixed these with the original incandescent side lights on the trailer and work great - lights are ** very ** bright! Will not submerge these at the boat ramp until next season, so I can't comment immediately on their waterproof capability. Extremely happy with the purchase and installation - highly recommended.

Easy to install, used to replace tail lights on boat trailer
Installation is fairly straightforward...just connect the wiring (I soldered the wires) by matching up the colors of the wires, then bolt onto your trailer. The left and right tail lights have unique wire coloring. The plastic housing around the bolts is cheap and flimsy...while I was centering up the bolts and inserting into the trailer mount plate, one of the bolts pushed into the plastic housing and was nearly impossible to get back out without doing damage to the tail light assembly. I also had to drill into my trailer tail light metal mount plate to fit the bolts in properly, as my original tail lights were about 6 inches long, and these were nearly 3 inches longer, so that made installation more of a pain. That's really the fault of the trailer and not the tail light. Either way, I couldn't find 6 inch-wide trailer lights so I went with these ones knowing there might be some drilling involved to get them to fit properly. On the upside, all of the LED lights work great, and they're very bright, easily visible during daylight hours. How waterproof they are remains to be seen, but the lights do seem to be sealed up inside the assembly housing. Be careful not to over-torque the bolts, or they'll crack the plastic on the light assembly. Docked a star due to the plastic bolt mounts being a weak point. Otherwise decent trailer lights if they're wired up and installed properly.

Needs a good ground!
One of my boat trailer brake/turn lights went out. I pulled off the light thinking I could just replace a bulb. That is when I found out about submersible lights - you can't just replace a bulb, you have to replace the whole light. The trailer is 20 years old, so I decided to go for a set of LED lights as an upgrade. With LED I should never have to replace them again! I picked these lights because of the reviews and I liked that they are a US based business. When I got the lights I installed them, and they were not bright at all - they were very dim. I could hardly see them flashing with the 4-ways on, and when I put on the headlights they totally dimmed out. I saw in the instructions that it said it needed a good ground so I took the lights back off and scuffed all the ground points to show bright shiny metal. Put lights back on, still dim as heck. Neighbor saw me messing around with them and came over to help. He asked if I checked the ohms between the ground on the tongue and the ground on the light and I said no, my test leads were 3 feet long so I couldn't do it. He went to his shop and came back with 30 foot test leads on a reel (something I will be getting soon). Hooked it up and showed very poor continuity between the tongue ground screw and my scuffed bare metal. When he connected from the tongue ground to the ground lead on the lights, they were BRIGHT! After a little checking it was determined that the ground was not passing through the swing-away tongue very well. Good enough for the old incandescent lights, but no good for the LEDs. We added a piece of wire from the tongue ground to a bolt on the spare tire mount and all is well. After fixing the ground, these lights look great! Also exact fit - same as the old lights.

Good lights for the value
Great Lights, easy to install and they are very bright. I have not submerged them in water yet but I am sure they will be OK when I do if they are not OK when I submerge them I will update this post.

Great Value Taillights for Boat Trailer
Easy to install. Purchased previously, but one was damaged in a parking lot and I needed another. So now I have a spare in case it happens again. So far they have worked flawlessly. They are on a boat trailer, so the get submerged every time the boat is launched and every time it is loaded. Happy with purchase!
