This beautiful, pure, Soil Association certified organic, chemical-free henna powder is suitable for hair colouring. This Henna is excellent for colouring hair as it finely sifted it has a smooth none-gritty texture. It is produced in Rajasthan, India. Within the the foil packet the henna is in a vacuum sealed plastic bag so that it stays fresh.Henna will usually give brown hair red/brown undertones. Henna will give light coloured hair - grey, white or blonde a more orange/red tone. When henna is used with indigo for hair colouring it can give shades of different browns to black. The resulting colour depends on the method, how long you leave it on for and the proportion of henna and indigo used. There are several ways of combing henna with indigo. You can either mix the henna together with indigo and apply, or you can colour you hair first with henna and then colour your hair with indigo. The latter gives a stronger colour. This 100 gram packet is approximately enough to colour shoulder length hair. However it does depend how thick your hair is. Fine hair will need less henna and thick or very curly hair will need more henna. For mid back length hair you will need 2 x 100g packets. Review: Please read this review carefully as I added highlights instead of doing the whole head* For a while I've been wanting to put ginger tones on my already bleached hair (not a full head of bleach) but I didn't want to damage it with conventional dyes and they don't ever last very long. So I recently came across Henna powder and I am very happy with the results! I mixed the powder up with apple cider vinegar and left it over night for the colour to release. I found that I didn't have to use much of the powder, which means that 100g will last me a while. I'd say I used about 30g the first time I did it and 20g the next time, I applied it as if I was putting in highlights with a highlighter brush which didn't create much mess. The first time I did it I left the henna on for 2 hours and it went a really vibrant orange. 2 weeks later, the colour had faded a bit in parts but was still a nice light golden-orange colour. The second time I did it, which was a few days ago (see pictures, it's a bit more orange in person), it turned out a really nice colour and I left it for 1 hour and a half. Because I have oily hair type, I can't wash my hair once a week or use conditioner, I try to wash it twice a week and use dry shampoo in between. the less you wash your hair the longer the colour lasts of course. I also find that washing it with lukewarm-cold water stops the colour from fading. I highly recommend this henna because the quality is fantastic and it hasn't damaged my hair. I don't blow dry my hair and I wouldn't ever bleach my hair over the bits that were already bleached so my hair was in good condition prior to using henna. If you only add highlights to your hair it's less messy and is easier to touch up again! Review: spettacolare, capelli morbissimi

This is my regular henna. I wouldn’t buy from anywhere else now. Always reliable, no dye failures as has happened with other brands. I mix with apple cider vinegar for excellent dye development.

I was using Lush Henna in Rouge but wasn't experiencing that much tint to my hair and my hair felt dry and brittle after each use. I thought this might be down to my dark brown and very curly hair, but after using this Henna just once I was receiving so many compliments on the colour and condition of my hair. My hair is glossy with a lovely tone of Auburn and soft and conditioned. I mixed the henna with half water and half fresh squeezed lemon juice and left it on for roughly three hours after letting it sit in an airing cupboard for dye release as per included instructions. My hair is just below shoulder length and one sachet was enough. I think you would need more for longer hair than mine. Lush Henna was cheaper in that one purchase equaled three applications for the same length of hair, but I found this far superior and will be using this from now on.

okay so i was skeptical when i first prepared this henna. i reallllly wanted to dye my hair because i’m currently growing it out from a pixie (it’s under chin length now) but i didn’t want the chemicals. my hair is naturally level 6 dark brown. i prepared a strand test henna and left it for 3 1/2 hours in the bowl covered with cling film, but couldn’t see any dye release and i thought maybe i got an old or bad batch. i contacted It’s Pure who were super helpful and quick to respond and gave me some tips, so I did the strand test on my hair and left it on for 3 hours, it made a subtle but lovely difference! I thought what the hell and did it all over my hair which was surprisingly easy and wow!!!!! the colour is so gorgeous and my hair is SO SOFT! I highly recommend It’s Pure henna! A few tips: Always use aloe vera powder! I use 1 tsp for 100g henna. Use a splash of lemon juice Leave henna to ‘cure’ overnight! You’ll see the dye release on the top and you’ll know it’s ready.
