Accurate as can be!
Purchased this scale two times now. The first one i accidentally dropped something on, and shattered the LCD. (Completely my fault) Wonderful scale, and super accurate. I have used this scale to calibrate kitchen scales and alike. Very reliable.

Great Scale!
Great Scale!I take it with me to gem fairs so I don't have to bother the vendor overtime I want too know the weight of a stone. Without fail it outperforms ALL other the vendors pull out.Quicker start and calibrate, more consistent, just work better!Made in Japan NOT china!

A tanita that weighs to the thousandths for only 70 bucks!
You can never go wrong in weighing with a tanita. Do not buy any model made by any other brand. Tanita is worth every penny. I had one tanita prior to this purchase that worked every time over a decade. No doubt this one will do so as well

Read this befor you buy this model...
My older Tanita works better than this one. This model cannot hold the weight value on the Tare function.It degrades each time a very small fraction. I called corporate and they at first said that the unit was not one of theirs and that it was a counterfeit. I gave them the Amazon seller number and they confirmed it.They then resorted to some B.S. about how accurate the scale was and that this was causing the the unit to display different values for the same item. I would not buy this model again. I would not take this for free...

Almost accurate jewelers scale.
The first thing I did was calibrate it. It seems to be accurate within +-.1 grams. I am disappointed it didn’t come with a plastic tray To go on top though.
