This isn't bad at all, actually!
When I first opened it up I wasn't feel'en it but my tune changed when against the skeptical voice in my head I went ahead to try it out. It just isn't that bad, actually, and allow me to back that up:My first impression stood at a pretty solid 'ew, really?' that almost made me not want to try it - the paper seemed almost coloring book quality, there are only 4 template poses in the book on repeat (the ones seen on the back cover in the corner) not one of which is a back view, and over all I just thought other books had seemed better. Then I doodled the above images to test to find the paper holds my ink kind of fantastically and felt good to draw on. The texture of the paper I feel made the solo colored pencil seem off to me, but WOW when the colored marker was applied WITHOUT smearing the pen ink even just a little that is when I thought... okay... this isn't that bad. As that is an ongoing issue I have found with other template books. Then I found that the mixed media of marker topped with the colored pencil really worked and the 'off' look caused by the texture helps. The marker ink doesn't spread (the color outside the lines in the image is me failing at coloring better than a 5 year old), it doesn't smear, the pen ink doesn't bleed through - just the marker and that is normal, blot pages to the rescue! For the purpose of working out the outfits for my characters at work, this will do great. The soft cover and heat binding basic but good. Will not lay flat on a scanner top.I still REALLY wish there was a back view - take note of that Lance. That is why you don't get 5 from me.

Wish I had looked closer
Got this to help my students with costume design. The bodies and poses are disproportionate-- the normal body dimensions are way off and the poses are more than a little bit provocative. Not something you turn high school kids loose with. If you are designing sexy lingerie or haute couture, unwearable clothes--I'm sure it's fine. Not at all what I needed. Wish I had looked closer.

It’s just a figure template
The book is exactly as described. Templates and nothing more.

Good but not modest
This book has 4 female body positions. My 13 year old has been able to create many fashion ideas. The body outline is a lighter shade. One thing that bothers me (as a mom) is that the figures are very slender and are not very modest.
