I take back my former answer! Try to pry off the center pieces and there may or may not be a screw. I saw that you could do this from one review, but if the cap won't come off after a bit of force, I'd stop.

i have never had a real cube before so what do you mean about by standard size?

Nowadays we have several Rubik's knock offs, different sizes and several pieces, for example I have seen one with 4 squares by side it means 24 squares in total instead of 54.
