This is an amazing katana sword and scabbard!! Highly recommend it if you are looking for a katana sword, with LED lights, sound effects, and a special "sparking" feature when the sword is removed from the scabbard. Yes you heard me, there are REAL sparks that will occur when the sword is being pulled free of the scabbard. This makes for realistic play. However, for this reason, the sword is not recommended for younger children that are not supervised while using this sword. If you have a cosplay event coming up, getting ready for Halloween, you or your kids are part of a drama theatre, or are just looking for an excuse to purchase a pretend katana sword, then this is seriously a fantastic option!! It has been entertaining for both my daughters (ages 9 and 12), as well as my husband. Overall quality of the material feels excellent to the touch, the sword is not flimsy, it is heavier and more realistic when moving it around into various striking positions. The LED lights are a fun addition and the sound effects are not to robotic.

I bought this for my nephew's birthday a few months ago after he said he wanted a sword for his birthday. It was an absolute hit, even the adults all wanted to play with it. Everytime I see him, he is still playing with this sword. The lightning function is easy to use, bright, reactive, and has a wide variety of options. The steam function is easy to use, but keep in mind it will continue as long as the lights are on, even if it's in the sheath. The sparking function is really cool and adds a lot of fun. This is one of the times that the product lives up to the ad in both look and function. It seems very sturdy, and has held up without issue. For the price, I would say this is a good value.

This sword is super cool. It is exactly as shown, it is lightweight, the sound is great for play with the sparks making it so life like and fun to use. The colorful lights make it even better. I would buy again 10 out of 10

I got this for my kids, and I didn’t expect it to be such a hit, but they have been obsessed with it. Right out of the box, it already feels different than the typical light-up swords. The colors are really bright, and when they start swinging it around, it lights up in a way that actually looks cool instead of cheap or flickery. You can also change the colors with a button on the side, and there are a bunch of options including a rainbow mode, which my kids love. The spark effect is what sold them. Every time they swing it, it does that little spark flash, and they think it’s the coolest thing ever. And when they hit something, a different color runs through the blade like a wave, which makes it feel even more realistic during play. There are also sound effects built in, which I usually worry will get annoying, but these actually match what they’re doing, so it makes the whole thing feel more interactive instead of just noise. The retractable blade is something I didn’t think would matter much, but it actually does. It makes it easier to carry around, and my kids love opening and closing it like they’re in some kind of action scene. The mist feature is fun too. You just add a little water, and it creates a light fog along the blade. It’s not over-the-top or messy, it just adds a cool effect, especially when the lights are on. Also, the fact that it’s rechargeable is a big win. I don’t have to keep digging around for batteries, and it lasts through plenty of playtime.

Be careful with these. They look cool but are kind of dangerous for kids. Not to mention flimsy and not durable. The "smoke" and sparks are cool looking but the sparks can start a fire pretty quick in the wrong space or put holes in fabrics (or my couch) if your kid (or your husband for that matter) aren't paying attention. Also, these aren't really intended for adhesive sword play fighting. Both of ours broke pretty fast because "boys will be boys". So these are probably best for like a costume or something but not really for playing in the house.

Item arrived late. Malfunctioned within a couple of days. Sparks generator broke down and stopped working. Not only did it malfunction but fell apart. The case no longer holds the sword. Very poor quality and not worth the money.

VERYYYY COOL I bought this for my kids and I ended up keeping it as a 40yr old lol. It’s TOP NOTCH Steam comes out of the handle right after putting water in, lots of different light variations and the sparking effect is LEGITTTTT

Worth the money. This sword was a hit at my son’s 9th bday party. Everyone wanted the link so they could buy one for their own kids. Highly recommend!
