Fast, convenient ice on demand—great for daily use with a few realistic expectations
I’ve been using this Kismile countertop ice maker for a bit now, and it’s one of those appliances that quickly becomes part of your daily routine—especially if you go through a lot of ice. The biggest selling point is how fast it works. It starts producing bullet-shaped ice in about 6–10 minutes, which feels almost instant compared to waiting on freezer trays. Once it gets going, it keeps a steady flow, which is great for things like iced coffee, water bottles, or having people over. The size is another win—it’s compact enough to leave on the counter without taking over your kitchen, and it’s light enough to move if needed. I could see this being really useful for things like parties, RV trips, or even just keeping in a home office setup. A couple things that are worth knowing (and typical for this type of ice maker): The “26 lbs per day” is more of a max capacity under ideal conditions—it’s consistent, but you won’t have 26 lbs sitting there at once unless you’re actively emptying and storing it. The ice is the softer, bullet-style ice, not solid freezer cubes. It’s great for drinks but melts a bit faster. The storage basket isn’t refrigerated, so if you’re not using the ice right away, it will slowly melt and recycle back into the machine. On the plus side, the self-cleaning function is a nice touch and makes maintenance pretty easy, and the controls are simple enough that you don’t need to mess with settings. Overall, this is a really convenient, budget-friendly option if you want reliable ice without dealing with trays or running out mid-day. Just go in with the right expectations, and it does exactly what it’s supposed to do.

Ice maker works so far
No complaints here, so far. Hopefully it last longer than the other one which is a different machine. Only one thing I kinda don't like, is when I am getting ice from the basket, using the scoop, ice ends up flying out on to the floor. Other than that I have no problems with this ice maker...

Quick purchase to get the job done
I have a chaotic home so I don’t hear it except when the house is quiet. So the machine is 4/10 noise level. Makes ice quick! I only use spring/filter water so the ice tastes good. But I don’t know how to clean the inside. Easy set up. Small enough to fit anywhere actually. I have it on a microwave cart with my air fryer.

Perfect!
Great little ice maker! This is my 4th ice maker and I’ve finally found a winner. I run this for a few hours to make enough ice for the week. Smaller footprint than others which I definitely appreciate as I have limited counter space. It is also a lot quieter than most ice makers. A little tip.. To fill, pour the water directly into the basket while it is on the machine with the door tilted open. As you close the door, the water will fill the reservoir. Easy to empty when you’re done. Money well spent.

So far, so good for us.... Or not.....
*UPDATE* We bought this the beginning of march, 2022 and we have barely had it 5 months (August 2022), and like others have said, it stopped working. The ice full sensor is faulty, it started going out a couple of weeks ago and tonight it has decided its done. The "Ice Full" light is on constantly and will not go off. We have tried everything, turning it off, cleaning it well, ran it through a self cleaning cycle, and nothing. I don't know why I even tried as I know its that cheap motion sensor malfunctioning, I looked into having the sensor replaced and that would cost more than just buying a new machine... Had we at least gotten a year out of it I would have rated it better, but not even half a year? ... Nope... Now I am stuck having to buy another one unfortunately, as I really, REALLY, liked the look of this one. But I will go with a reputable brand next time and not a generic one. Either way I will most definitely not be buying anything else from this seller/brand. *ORIGINAL* I ordered this over a week ago but just got it set up yesterday as we are in the process of reorganizeing the kitchen. It does make a little noise, but nothing complaint worthy as far as I'm concerned. Its not abnormally loud or anything, it just has the kind of sounds all ice makers have. Its just not muffled the way it is when its happening inside a freezer. Our giant old Maytag side by side finally bit the dust last summer and I decided to go with a smaller, regular (freezer on top) fridge from Lowes that didn't come with an ice maker. I decided to save freezer space and a lot of work having to run water lines and stuff to the area on the opposite side of the kitchen where the fridge is. It would have been a pain. At our old house we had the old fridge hooked up but everything was in the same area as that house was built in the 70's not the 50's like this one, at least it has a lot of counter and storage space everywhere like most houses built before the 70's though. After living here for a while now though I was tired of constantly trying to keep up with ice trays for 4 people so I started looking for an alternative that didn't include having to have water run to the fridge. This ice maker was half the price of the one that I would have had to get for our new fridge, and not even a fraction of the work that would have involved. It was easy to set up and get going, it matches everything else in my kitchen, and so far its churning out enough ice to keep up with everyone! Yes, it took it a little while to get going when it was first started, it needed time to get the right parts cold enough. But once it did it took off. I followed someone else's advice here and bought distilled water, not so much for the clear ice, although it is beautifully clear... But for the fact that distilled water won't leave all the mineral build up in the pump and tubing over time as our tap water is extremely hard. It also makes harder ice that melts slower. The minerals in tap water and even filtered and bottled water, especially if they are sodium based, make softer ice that melts really quickly. So if you have been having that issue try using distilled water and see if it makes a difference for you. So far we love this ice maker. If I end up having problems with it at some point within the next year I will update this review... For now we are all really happy with it. We have been using the large sized ice mostly in drinks, but I switch it to the small when making smoothies.

This is a replacement for a previous ice maker that stopped working. I love it!
