Advantix Flea and Tick Control for Dogs 20-55 Lbs

This is the only product I use on my dogs because it works. I live on the edge of RattleSnake Gulch, which is a 10,000 acre swamp. This product keeps our home flea free. I apply it every 28 days and never have a problem.

Best tick and flea control I.'ve ever used.Live in the country and my Beagles is out side not one flea on him this summer.

Seems to work well, I like the way it is applied down his back lengthwise

I bought this product at the vet's office. I just put it on my 24 lbs terrier mix. Within 10 minutes she started acting odd - panting a great deal, couldn't get comfortable and moving around very nervously. I immediately gave her a Benadryl tablet and she calmed down a little bit but was still acting very weird - not her normal self at all. I got online and started reading reviews - http://www.amazon.com/Advantix-Control-21-55-Pounds-Applications/dp/B000Q5N7B8/ref=cm_rdp_product . I was horrified to read that this product has KILLED DOGS and has caused other dogs to become very sick. Within 1 1/2 hours I washed my dog thoroughly to get the product off of her. She is acting normal now but I will keep an eye on her. I am so glad that I saw the reviews or I might have left the product on her not realizing that it was poisoning her. Bayer doesn't have anything on their product packaging or website that mentions possible side effects in dogs. I find that to be very irresponsible on their part. I also read from the reviews that dogs with liver problems should NOT use this product (my dog has elevated liver enzymes which she takes medicine for). Please think twice before you use this product. I am going to contact Bayer tomorrow and will NEVER USE THIS PRODUCT AGAIN!
