My wife just had an eye surgery and needed a special pillow to support her face down while sleeping. When I found one that rents out at $130 a week, I went to Amazon and was able to find this similar type of pillow for less cost. Once my wife started using it, she was very pleased with the comfort. The pillow is well designed: 1) firm foam pad to support on her chest and shoulders, 2) foam pad with inclined surface but not too high enough to raise her face and deep open end in the front to breathe easily, 3) added layer of cushion on top of the foam pad to provide soft and comfortable support to her face, 4) washable soft covers on both the pad and cushion. It’s well worth the price for its design, quality, and comfort.

After this purchase,, since my eye surgery will happen in a month or so, I wanted to test how this face down pillow would work. Once assembled, I then lied face down according to instructions. This performs as expected, offering support also to the waist up. In fact, I dozed off while resting on this pillow! so I'm convinced it will work.

Had retina reattachment surgery and need to face down for a week. This pillow hurts, because not enough foam that's why the zipper is pressing your face. It hurts like hell.

This pillow is made very well, it expanded as advertised and fully inflated per design. I may be misapplying the pillow as I wear a full CPAP face mask waking up discovering I am nearly face down. After using the pillow several nights I find the face opening on the top side has a material seam which is small and is restrictive on my face and ends up being very uncomfortable. Other than my personal issue I find the HOMCA pillow to be soft and well designed and for back massages a perfect solution

I purchased this pillow prior to a surgery that I had. I needed this type of pillow because I had to lay on my stomach for long periods of time. This pillow allowed me to lay on my bed in a position where I could sleep comfortably. It was easy for me to adjust the pillow and the removable extra pillow so that I can read and watch television. Because I needed to use this pillow for 4 to 6 weeks, I was very happy with the material and texture of this product and adaptability to my body. The material was of good quality and easy to clean. I like to being able to move the different parts around for different positions. I would recommend this to my friends.

Day 6 post vitrectomy and I love this pillow. I also bought a face down pillow with a metal adjusting frame and a massage chair. The metal frame pillow is useful but not comfortable for long periods and does not offer the volume this pillow does. To be honest when I first removed this pillow from the package my first response was that I was sending it back. It looked terrible. But I used it that evening and it plumped up nicely over time. It is very soft and offers a nice depth for your face to be facing down allowing for an iPad or phone for entertainment. I rotate between the massage chair and the two pillows to maintain the face down restrictions needed post vitrectomy. I am giving this pillow a rating of 5 stars because it is very soft and comfortable. I did not experience any weird smells at all as mentioned in other reviews. I will use this pillow even after the restrictions are removed.

I am recovering from Lipo 360 and BBL, I have looked for many things to help me sleep on my stomach for several weeks, since with fat transfer you cannot sleep on your back, at least 2 weeks, if more is better, and this is what better for sleeping, it gives me support, I can breathe well and my neck doesn't hurt, I highly recommend it. Used after vitrectomy. It was very cushiony but a bit too high for comfortable sleeping on the stomach. I had a lot of lower back pain from sleeping with my back bowed awkwardly. Company might want to offer this in a lower height.
