iDECT Solo Classic Corded Phone

Bought this so we had a phone in case of power cuts, also the "cordless" phone in the hall still needs a cord to charge it, so we have plugged this one into the BT box and no longer have a wire running under the door mat to the power point! Sounds fine in use easy ringer and earpiece volume adjustment by a simple switch.The base is a little light so tends to get pulled about when using the handset, but a couple of blobs of blue tac on the base where the keyhole slots are sorted that out a treat!

This is a nice looking phone, good value for money.The base is too light though, you tend to pull it over when you pick up the phone. It could do with a lump of metal in it to keep it on the table. But its quite cheap, so I forgive it its lightness.

It's a good basic phone, no quick dials. It isn't suitable for wall mounting as suggested! The receiver just falls off the hook unless it is on a horizontal service. I only bought it because it was wall mountable. Wasted my money.

I'm quite pleased with this phone. Good quality for the price. Like the blue backlight. I cant find a re-dial button, but I haven't read the instructions. The cord is really tightly wound so it makes it difficult to lift the phone far from the holder without the holder falling off the table!

Excellent phone for the price. Neat and tidy and small enough to put anywhere discreetly. I Can hear the ringtone 3 rooms away now that I have turned up the volume under the base. The simple change to the Parking Hook (turn it round) makes it very safe to use wall mounted.

Unluckily mine was part of a faulty batch and the supplied refunded me - but I liked the design of it and the blue lighting. The cradle is rubbish and needs to have more bulk as when you pick up the phone, the cradle stays attached or moves about.Apart from that, I will seek out another supplier for one.

Good value, very lightweight - you will need some blu tack to hold it down, person on the other end sounds distant even with the volume right up. Ideal for occasaional phone.

For the price this is definitely worth it. It was just what I needed, a corded phone that don't need recharging in case of electricity failure, something I could still use in emergency provided the phone line is not cut off of course. My old landline phone is similar but white and looks really cheap and was dead basic. This has a lot more features in comparison and the main thing I chose it was that it not only looks good but most of all I can adjust the ringer volume. My old phone has no way of adjusting the volume which was soooo loud, it would wake the dead.A word of advice if you are planning to mount this on the wall, read the instructions to reverse the handle hook otherwise you may think it wouldn't hold it upright.
