Powerful Humidifier Great Features & Customer Service
Great bang for the buck with bells & whistles, but most of all, lots of moisture in the air. There's a number of things I really like about this humidifier - it puts out a POWERFUL MIST STREAM - well over 2 feet. It's exceptional in that respect. It can run on distilled or USES TAP WATER. It's DURABLE. I've run it all night every night I've had it & 1/2 the days too! The easy to read LCD DIGITAL DISPLAY has a THERMOMETER & HYGROMETER. It has a NIGHT LIGHT OR NOT to make everyone happy. It has an EASY TO USE menu, preset TIMERS, range of sprays & humidity preset feature. You can set a humidity you want & it's supposed to stop when it hits that percentage. It hasn't leaked, it hasn't gotten white dust others are noted for, even when using city tap water. (I've heard hard water causes this, so ours must not be.) It hasn't soaked our furniture. I have it on a wood table with a tablecloth, then a plastic tray underneath it. It will get condensation built up on top of itself when run constantly on high. It's right near a window & about 2.5 feet from tv, alarm clock & power strip & has not caused any problems. It's got a HUGE TANK & It lasts all night & day & then some, depending on the setting you prefer. .It's also got GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!It does have a few downsides &/or areas for improvement, but they're not enough to not still be very glad I got this. My biggest disappointment & reason for 1 star off is that is it is NOT an essential oil diffuser as stated in title in my experience. You can not put essential oils in the silicone oil reservoir. It WILL melt the plastic. I'm not sure, I think when I got it, it said you could use Ess. oils, but now it states you can not unless they're water soluble. When asked, Mfg. said they didn't know where you can get them or who makes them. Problem is, all my research has indicated there's no such thing. Anyone who says they sell them, I'm willing to bet isn't selling real essential oils. Some say you can make E.O.'s water soluble by mixing with grain alcohol or vodka, aloe gel/juice, polysorbate 20/60 or 80 or Dipropylene Glycol ( DPG). Others say this isn't true & there was a lot of scientific explanations that sounded reasonable re vodka & aloe, but I'm no expert. The later 2, especially DPG was said to work best to disperse the E.O. into the water & release the fragrance, but I don't know what it's effects on plastic are & this humidifier clearly states NOT to put the oil in the water, just in the yellow holder, so not sure if it would make any difference here? There's cancer controversy linked to some polysorbates, whether valid or not I don't know but I'm not sure that's an option I'd want to explore for breathing into my lung. The plastic this humidifier is made of isn't compatible with E.O.'s & even though I only put the oil in the silicone holder, it melted/dissolved the plastic walls that the holder goes in. This happened when I was with/in my Prime 30 days, so I returned it for a replacement. I had also written the Mfg. about this & they said they would've replaced it for free without me having to return it, which is a shame I'd already returned it, because then I would've had 2. It still worked for just humidifying, but at the time I didn't know there was no such thing as a water soluble E.O.s & had wanted to use it for both purposes. So far, though, I haven't with the new one. I do have an idea I'd like to try. Another one I have has an E.O. holder with a dense felt like pad in it to put the oil on. It seems similar to the felt pads you put on the bottom of furniture, so I thought if I put the oil on that & put it inside the silicone holder it might work. I have some but forgot where I put them, I'll update if I try it & it works. Vick's has their own humidifier that has pads & they sell those separate too, so they might work in this if trimmed to fit. I chose this over Vick's humidifier because it has so many additional features, looks better & holds more water. Of course, using the plastic used by diffuser mfg's would solve the problem too, I think? In researching, I found many who say it's better to have a separate diffuser for E.O.s, which scents the air better (something about water volume & the ultrasonic process) & also for health therapy (not just scenting a room) you don't want it to run all night, you should only diffuse for shorter periods at specific intervals. You can get nice diffusers at good prices for those who want to do aromatherapy separately from their ProAller. This humidifier is such a great price, you can buy a separate diffuser & still pay less than what a lot of the other humidifiers cost that don't have 1/2 the features this one does! So that's what I did. I have this ProAaller for humidifying & I found a 200 ml diffuser for @$11 & as well as a 2 pack of 450 ml's for @$25-30, both models* have color changing lights, timers & auto shut off. (links at end)The other areas for improvements are the thermometer - it's only in Celsius, it would be easier in Fahrenheit (I had to look up the conversion for the temp. range I wanted the room to be in, once I knew that, it was fine).Another reviewer said the hygrometer was spot on, but the ones I got haven't been, at least in terms of the readings I get after it's been on a while. When I've had it on med. or high, I've seen the readings rise from, say, 45% to 50% in literally just a couple of minutes. I believe the initial reading of the humidity is likely accurate, but I don't think an entire room can go up 5% that quickly. I think the sensor gets it's measurements right at the source, so yes, the humidity can rise that fast with the powerful stream this incredible humidifier puts out within an inch or two around it, but the actual humidity in the entire room, or even 4 or 5 feet from the humidifier can't go up that fast. If it did, it wouldn't be running all night & my Mom still have chapped lips & a runny nose, that although much improved, hasn't gone away. So maybe that's my interpretation of what that customer meant by it being accurate. Initial reading does indeed seem accurate. Readings once running, however, may not reflect accurately for the entire room. That being the case, it means I can't use the feature of setting the hygrometer to a desired humidity level as the humidifier would stop when it gets to that point, which would be long before the Whole room reaches that percentage. No other humidifier in this price range even has a hygrometer, so at least, knowing the starting humidity is certainly a bonus though!Another wish is that it would be infinitely better if it were a top filler. That's a personal preference. The fill hole is on the bottom & isn't much wider than the faucet. It doesn't leak, but it's too heavy for me to hold while filling, I have to put it down to fill. Once full it's heavy to carry from the sink & award to flip it over & hold by it's smooth round sides to place back on the base. So it might not be the best choice for the elderly or those with physical disabilities, especially arthritis or other hand/wrist/grip or dexterity issues. For healthy adults - no problem! (Note, if anyone has an issue with leakage after filling while carrying, make sure you didn't have your fingers anywhere on the bottom of it if you're carrying it upright, if your fingers touch the spring loaded valve on the bottom, water will come out, that's how the valve works to get the water into the machine part of the humidifier. I've done it a time or too & it took me a few moments to realize what happened the first time! Ooops!) When you pick the tank up, there' will be some moisture/water on the bottom of it, so I flip it over & carry it upside down to the sink. When done filling, I put the cap back on, turn it over while still over the sink so any water that was there or spilled on it in filling will drip in the sink, not on the floor. That's just how these things work. I tried another humidifier I didn't like as much & returned, that was a bottom fill too & it was pretty much the same. Another reviewer said a carry handle would be a welcome addition, I agree!Another boon would be if the output was directional, the centerpiece where it comes out looks like it's round & would swivel, but it doesn't.All that being said, in it's price range, there's not a one that has the digital display, thermometer & hygrometer. And those are some mighty nice features! It's a strong humidifier, large capacity, very durable so far, doesn't take up a lot of space, has many splendid features & customer friendly representatives at an amazing price.*(links for diffusers are: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HGYGFXL/ bfrom Lovepro & https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078HFGFVB/ from Luscreal.)This review is about my experience with this product & solely my personal opinion. Great customer service; Multi-Mode/Facet Product; Essential Oil Diffuser doesn't necessarily work
If you're looking for a sleek, multi-faceted humidifier with a multitude of settings look no further than the ProAller humidifier. I am able to adjust the humidistat and gauge the amount of mist that comes out all through touch buttons. I am able to put the timer on and then put it into sleep mode and it will automatically shut off in the morning. It has a huge tank so I actually only fill this up every other day or every two days, depending on how high I put the mist. I loved this product because it had antimicrobial properties—but I definitely still use clean it once/week. My only issue really comes down to the essential oil diffuser. First off, the little essential oil tray is SO small. When they say the water-soluble oils HAVE to be in the essential oil box, they mean it—not that I tried to, by any means, get it outside the tray, but even a drop outside actually melted my the plastic that ended up holding the tray in place that I had to contact customer service. I was disappointed that it melted through the plastic when that seems like such an unrealistic expectation—just one drip can melt the plastic? It seems somewhat of a hazard to me, especially being someone who is fairly meticulous and was already mindful of the directions (I read the reviews earlier). However, when it came to the customer service, they were great and very easy-going. Again, my only complaint lies with the essential oil diffuser, so if you're buying it specifically for that, I'd look elsewhere. However, if you're looking for a cool-mist humidifier with SO many settings that are practical and useful and with great customer service—this ProAller is a great-priced humidifier with a great look!

+ Easily the BEST Humidifier on Amazon!
First the Pros and Cons:Pros:+ Great packaging, solid product, quality build and clear instructions.+ Elegant design, hides well, but also attractive if displayed prominently.+ VERY easy to operate and refill. no chance of spillage or leaking.+ Clearly labeled buttons to operate, no annoying menu.+ Blows a LOT of mist on max setting! About a 2-3 foot tall cloud!+ Very quiet, and makes a very subtle "babbling brook" sound if the room is silent.+ Displays room tepature and humidity level which i measured with professional tools and is accurate.+ Helped greatly with my sleep and allergies.+ lightweight.+ Empty water tank warning and shut-off feature.+ Sleep timer feature.+ Lasts a very long time on a single fill up.Cons:- Somewhat large for a bedside table, so mine sits on the floor near the bed.- Screen uses a Blue LED style display, so i cover the screen at night for sleep.- Water based fragrances should be used for adding aroma, but i chose to use oil (details in my review).- Temperature on display is in Celsius and cant be changed to Fahrenheit (as far as I can tell).Full review:I have nasal allergies and luckily this arrived just as I got the flu and it SAVED ME! I slept great and was able to recover much faster. The display shows both room temperature as well as humidity and I tested its accuracy with a thermal laser and its spot on accurate. You can set the mist to 3 different power levels, LOW, MEDIUM, HIGH, and i just leave it on high the entire time, it was able to rise the humidity level in my master bedroom about 30 levels of RH (relative Humidity). So call me impressed. (You can also set desired humidity level, but I keep that set to max which is 90). The plume of mist on max setting will reach about 2 or 3 feet tall which i really like.My nose didn't feel dry in the morning and i could definitely breath better at night as well as the sheets felt cooler. The humidifier auto shuts off if the water tank is running to low as well as indicating a warning light to let me know to refill the tank. Refilling is easy, you just lift the top portion off and turn it upside down and there is a drain plug you twist and fill up with water, takes a few seconds. Now about adding fragrances or essential oil. The instructions say to add oil to this little silicone pocket that is located in the base. It could hold maybe 4 drops or so, its very tiny. I tried this and it did not change the smell any, so after running an entire gallon of water, i opened it up and saw the oil was still full. I later found out it requires a water based fragrance to vaporize from that tiny silicone pocket. *BUT I ended up just putting a small amount of perfume/cologne in the water tank along with a full tank of water (I only use distilled water as it is the best water to use for humidifiers) And it worked incredible when trying it that way. the smell was great and really gave the room a fresh scent! I have had zero issues doing it this way and my roommate has bee running essential oil this way in her humidifier for months without issues, although I personally feel that a tiny amount of perfume is less likely to damage anything when compared to oils. (IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED TO DO THIS, but its has worked great for me with zero issues). In summary, i LOVE my new humidifier and it was a total life saver for my nose when sleeping. I plan to use it every night honestly. and the self timer is perfect so I can just set it to run on MAX settings for 8 hours and not think about it.And for anyone who is curious, it will run on max power for roughly 18 hours or so on a single gallon of water. I had it running all day and all night on full settings and it ran out of water on the next day. :)
