I am happy with the performance of this carpet cleaner machine. I like the fact the waste water tank top opens fully making it easy to clean. I like that you can easily remove the brushes and cover for the brushes for easy cleaning. I love that there is a separate soap dispenser rather than having to add soap to the water tank. This makes it easier to rinse the soap out of the carpet by simply removing the soap dispenser, no need to empty a water/soap mix tank and refill with plain water. There is a small learning curve with managing how much water/soap is put down on the carpet, the slower you move the machine forward the more water/soap is put into the carpet. I tested first on a couple long carpet runners to figure out the right speed. With the right speed laying down the water/soap, sucking it up, rinsing with clean water then drying didn't take long at all and the carpet cleaned up well (we have two dogs). I am happy with the suction power. I would recommend this machine to others. The clean water tank had a small crack in the top of it right out of the box, but customer service was great and I had no problem getting a replacement, which I received in a short amount of time. Kudos to Hoover customer service.

I’ve been cleaning my own carpets forever! Previously, a professional carpet steam cleaner in my wasted youth, I know what companies put into carpets to make them “appear” clean. Anyway, this model has many improvements, but I was leery about the automatic water/wash feature. It works extremely well! I do like the “dry only” option to ensure the carpet is not getting too much water. The filling with fresh water and the emptying out the dirty water is so much easier now. Both fresh and dirty tank capacities have increased, so not as many stops between cleaning. I disliked the old model’s dirty tank and how you could never get it fully rinsed. This machine seems a bit lighter and finishing the job seems a lot quicker. I have not used the handtool yet, can’t comment, but it is pretty much similar to the old handtool that broke on my other machine which did an awesome job on stairs and upholstery. Pro-tip: go easy on using the included cleaning solution - it leaves a residue in your carpet that collects dirt over time. I’ll use a 409 spray bottle to spot clean the hard-to-clean areas. This machine will make you LOVE washing your carpets! It is super easy to use, empty and take care of. This machine, with the Oxy cleaner, helped get out 5 year old dog stains! So impressive! When I cleaned my carpets, my parents came over two days later and said it looked like I got brand new carpet put in! I even purchased one of these to do the carpets at our church! Well worth the money, and would absolutely purchase again. The attachments work well also.

First off, I used to have the power scrub Hoover with the spin brushes so most of my review will be comparing this one to that one. I think Hoover is a great brand with an excellent warranty and good customer service. If I could give this machine a 4.5 I would (because nothing is perfect right). Off the bat I noticed this one was smaller, however it is just shorter and ground coverage is maybe slightly wider than my old one. I love the brushes, I feel like it gets a better clean. It is super lightweight but that doesn’t take away from the suction, which i must add is quite strong. I love that this one has a plastic filter instead of those foam crappy ones. I will say it seems to use an insane amount of soap and water which is good for a deep clean, but if you’re wanting to do a light clean maybe just spray the area with a pump sprayer first and save your soap. The tanks seem to be smaller but I don’t really mind making the extra trips. I like that the soap is separate from the water tank, it seemed like the soap would leak into the water tank on my old one which was a pain. On that note I was worried about not having a rinse option on this one but you simply pop the soap tank off and rinse away. I also love not having to use a trigger, with this feature and the amount of water it uses it actually seemed to have saved a lot of time & aches while getting a better clean. I used the Hoover pet carpet cleaner which I usually wouldn’t do and I’m pleasantly surprised at how well it works & leaves a nice clean scent. Dry time is pretty fast as long as you take your time and use the dry only option. Overall I’m very happy with this product and look forward to taking advantage of it’s easy use. I'm very impressed with this unit. It's easy to put together out of the box. The only parts that need to be installed are those that will need to be removed for filling, emptying or cleaning after use, so by putting it together, you're learning how to use the machine. There's no mixing of solution and water. A separate container holds the cleaner. A small bottle is included and after cleaning two area rugs there is still enough left to do the same rugs again. The machine is very easy to use. You simply put the cleaner in the small container and water in the large bottom container, plug it in and turn it on. While pushing slowly ahead, water and solution goes into the rug. Pulling back sucks up the water while the rubber-like beater brushes knock dirt from the rug fibres. It's shocking to see the dirty water coming into the tank. When finished with washing, a push of the button puts the machine into the dry cycle. No water is used while the machine sucks up as much moisture as possible, leaving the rug damp. It dries quickly after that. When finished, the water tank and collection tank are emptied and rinsed clean and the beater brushes are removed and cleaned. It's a must to put the unit away clean and ready for the next use. I love my new machine and deciding to purchase it was easy. I had rented one of the steam cleaners available in some stores and found it to be very heavy and awkward and did a poor job but was expensive at half the price of purchasing my new Bissel. I knew that using the Bissel twice would be the price of a rental. Any use after that is free. Can you tell I'm VERY happy with my Bissel?? I recommend it.

BRILLIANT! My husband uses it as he enjoys using something new, hope he doesn't tire of it as I enjoy not having to do it. He says its the best carpet cleaner he has ever tried and so easy to use. The rooms smell so clean and fresh after he does them with this cleaner so I love it too. we have had carpets cleaned professionally and it takes a couple of days to dry and smells awful. The Hoover smart wash leaves the carpet clean and nearly dry, IT ALSO GETS ALL THE CATS HAIR UP. when you go forward it washes the carpet and when you pull back it dries. when finished you can put it on the dry cycle and dry it even more. HE SAYS ITS VERY EASY TO CLEAN AS WELL. As He says BRILLIANT! Lorraine Australia

Una muy buena máquina para lavar alfombras, Hoover es garantía, muy bien empacada, ya la usamos para lavar una sala y quedo muy bien, fácil de armar, buena potencia, use el shampo que viene en la caja y considero que para que quede bien la lavada hay que utilizarlo, no sabía que viene concentrado por lo que hay que diluirlo con un poco de agua, se me acabo rápido y le puse jabón de trastes, vinagra y un poco de bicarbonato pero no limpio del todo bien, así es que invertí un poco más y pedí el Galón de shampo del mismo que viene con la máquina, Recomendable.
