I like the idea of the butter mill. It does great to shred butter, but it is still a little hard to spread on soft bread. I like how fine the butter comes out. The one thing I don't like is that I still have to have a butter knife to cut the shreds off the base of the mill. This is fine when I am spreading butter, but if I am just adding it to a pan or to a potato I am still using (and washing) a utensil. Neat idea though.

When grating the top and gratercome off

I bought this item about 2 weeks ago, used it for one lot of butter and kept it in the refrigerator, rust appeared on the metal within a week.

This nifty little gadget makes buttering toast a breeze! If your recipes call for softened butter but you forgot to take it out, this lil guy fixes the problem in a hurry. Cleanup isn't too bad, doesn't make much of a mess. Good purchase!

I bought this for my dad who loves real butter on his bread and rolls, but always complained how it would tear the bread up. This solves the problem! Not only does his toast stay in tact, but it’s great for other uses where you want soft butter. Easy to use (my dad is 88)

Great idea and works somewhat but the grater circle top wouldn’t stay on. (Highly necessary for function). I tossed it out because I took too much time wrestling with it to get the grater on and then, clean. Disaster

This item is inexpensive and it shows. The grater blade will not stay on. So it pops off as you grate the butter. Very disappointed and will be sending this item back!

This til is awesome when you forget to take the butter out ahead of time to soften.
