Let this Cherry Blossom in your imagination
Lego, hope your paying attention. For too long I've been hearing about "Lego knockoffs", "cheap junk", "poor Lego"...well guess what this build is not only unique and affordable but it 100% delivers on build quality, piece count and instructions. I was blown away at just how fun this was to build without a single hiccup...I mean not one. The end result is a stunning, somewhat functional display piece. I have two very minor grips the first being their separator tool is a bit lame and does not work nearly as well as Lego's patented Brick separator and second the color scheme in the book needs work, sometimes you have to look really closely and play strict attention to the similar color scheme. Over the course of the build it becomes obvious through attrition which piece is meant to go where, for example the earthen tone and olive can be easily exchanged during the build so pay close attention. All in all I am incredibly happy with this piece and will buy more especially at $61...makes me wonder just how conflated Lego prices really are. Well done, keep up the great work!

Great set, stunning result
I was hesitant to order this set. I'd never even seen the brand Wise Block before, and 3150 pieces could be a rough experience if the piece quality were poor. I am very pleased to say that the pieces are excellent. They are all LEGO-compatible size with consistent fit, colors, and premium-quality appearance. I have only two minor criticisms of the pieces. They are a little tougher to disassemble than usual, so when I made a mistake, it wasn't easy to correct. Also, the small hole in the green 7-petal flower pieces is just a little extra tight. Compared to all of the other leaf and flower pieces, there are fewer of the green ones, so they just took a little extra care and attention when attaching them to stems and weren't a big deal. I love the design. The scene is so serene and tranquil. The great-looking tram with its several printed pieces was a major factor that helped me decide to order this set, but I actually like the scene even better with the tram removed. Looking at it, I can just imagine sitting on the bench, maybe with a friend, enjoying a cool beverage from the vending machine while waiting for the tram, and time just slipping away. The set also can work very well as a centerpiece because there is no side or angle that lacks visual interest. There are some spots that suffer just a little bit from crowding. I wish the cobblestone path in the foreground was just a little wider to make it easier to imagine strolling among those plants. The tiles with printed koi are one of my favorite parts, so it's a little surprising that two of them get mostly hidden underneath the bridge. The sakura canopy is wonderfully dense, and the trees cast fantastic shadows under overhead lighting. Another huge plus is that the set includes all of the pieces to have both seasons' plants built at the same time. To change seasons, you just have to remove one season's plants and replace them with the other's. There's no having to disassemble every leaf, stem, and blossom to rebuild them in a different configuration. All of the assemblies feel very sturdy to me, so I think there's a good chance of being able to store those alternates in an assembled state and have very little concern about pieces getting knocked loose. The two large format printed instruction books are very good. I had a little trouble telling the difference between dark tan and olive green, but they did a great job calling out the different colors of pink. All of the parts bags have nice large numbers, although without a background color for contrast, the numbers aren't always easy to see and read at a glance. Most of the build phases used 2-3 bags at a time. I really appreciate that all of the large sakura plate assemblies use an identical arrangement of pieces. Yes, it's repetitive, but it was very nice to just sit and keep making those instead of having to repeatedly stop to try to understand how to build twenty different variations on the same thing. The other plants take a more balanced approach with three of this and five of that. Overall, I think this is one of the most impressive sets I've built, so for just a little over $60, it's a really exceptional value. I'll definitely be looking out for more sets from this brand. I build a wide variety of brands and it's uncommon to find one make such a strong first impression as Wise Block has done with this set.

Beautiful set, solidly designed and multiple "season" options
The Wise Block Cherry Blossom Bonsai Tree Building Set wasn't like anything in my collection so I decided to add it. With a count of over 3100 bricks, I was honestly expecting mini (or micro mini) mini bricks. I was surprised to find full size bricks when I opened the box! The set comes in a beautiful, giftable, box with images of the finished models on the outside. Inside are numbered bags of bricks and TWO manuals. The manuals are both very easy to follow and none of the steps require a large number of bricks so they go quickly. Some of the colors are off in the manual but it's easy to figure out. This is especially the case in the second book (but more on that later). The bricks are all Lego compatible and snap together nicely. There are no stickers at all and the bricks that have graphics are all printed bricks, another nice touch. The first 9 bags of bricks are the base, train and train station. It is a surprisingly solid base with full supports underneath and no flex like some others I have done. This is all built in the first manual and it's easy going. The second manual is strictly for the foliage in the set and there are a LOT of bricks. A few hundred of the bricks in the total brick count are leaves alone! You have your choice of ways to finish the model; spring or summer. Each season is broken down into its own set of instructions and the manual is clear on where to jump to in order to start your chosen build. I went with the spring because the cherry blossoms are iconic and look fantastic to boot. You will notice in my pictures that there are none with the trees completed. That is because the foliage build is a BEAST! The first nine bags took me under 3 hours. I spent over 2 hours last night and have only gotten through 24 PAGES of the second manual and still have literally HUNDREDS more bricks to go (the picture of the blue sorting trays was taken AFTER I completed those 24 pages so you can see how much there is!). Don't get me wrong, I am absolutely loving it, but it's time consuming to say the least. The only complaint I could possibly list is that, in the second manual, the colors are off as they are in the first. However, you will have to pay closer attention so that you are choosing the correct bricks for each assembly. I would deduct a half star if that was a thing. The description states for adults and I think that is very accurate. An older teen with building experience may be able to knock it out but it's definitely not for younger builders. At only $60, I think this is a fantastic build. It is well designed, a very satisfying set and the option to choose your season to finish the set is a great idea. I would go with 4.5 stars if half stars were a thing but, based on how much I am actually enjoying this set, I have to round up to 5 stars. Definitely worth the price for a set with over 3000 pieces.

A beautiful set for half the prices of Legos
This is an excellent non-Lego set. The instructions are easy to follow. For example, when a step has two similar pieces, it displays the lengths so you know which piece to use. This would be 2x as expensive if it was Lego. Some cool things about this set you might not know: * The trolley can roll along the track * The set has two modes: spring and summer. You can use both the summer Hydrangeas and the spring Cherry blossoms at the same time. One thing to be aware of is the leaves. It is tedious to put all of the little leaves on the branches.
