great value and a perfect all-in-one kit Electric Guitar
I got this Donner electric guitar kit and it’s honestly an amazing starter set for the price. The guitar looks great with that classic sunburst finish, and it feels solid and well-made. It’s comfortable to play and perfect for beginners or anyone wanting to practice at home. What really makes this kit stand out is that it comes with everything you need—including a mini amplifier, tuner, strap, picks, cable, and even a capo. You can literally start playing right out of the box. The amp is compact but works really well for practice, and the sound quality is great for a beginner setup. Overall, this is such a great value and a perfect all-in-one kit if you’re starting your guitar journey. Highly recommend!

Great investment for starters or those on a budget.
Great starter kit for the price! The purple sapphire color is beautiful, nice feel and quality. Amp sounds good for how small and portable, great battery life. Perfect for my son.

Great for a beginner!
Before I start this is something I needed help with. When I got the amp they give you remember it’s small but loud but also the start button I was slow or something but remember to hold it down and make sure to plug it in the guitar before the sound comes out. The guitar itself is nice in build condition it’s nice and all, i started to learn fast but remember it takes time to get good. This was funny I remember I broke one of my wires due to me doing something stupid but because of the spares I was able to fix it. The tuning of the guitar is also easy for beginners. But the tuner they give remember to put in the right way I did and I broke the tuner they gave me I had to buy a new one. So tips for the guitar it’s a little heavy but use the strap a lot it’s works out for everyone. I would love to show how good I got with it but I’m in a trip in Florida right now for winder brake so I can’t sorry!

Solid Guitar for the Price!
I had an itch to pick up electric guitar after about 20 years and decided to try out a Donner after considering the cost and some other, honest, reviews. I have been playing this guitar almost every day for about a month and don't have any complaints. Out of the box it was set up pretty good and only needed to adjust a few strings for intonation. The frets were dressed very nicely and comfortable to play. The action was also very comfortable considering I had been out of practice for some time. Some folks would like a lower action, but this seems consistent with most manufacturers standards of new guitars. It actually has the same measurements as Gibson uses for their new guitars to go to market. The strings are cheap, but not bad. I haven't bothered to swap them out yet. The humbucker is okay, I like the sound with some fuzz or crunch. The neck is much warmer and great for lead. I have been playing through a 20+ year old Marshall 10w practice amp and headphones. The little amp is also a fun bonus. It keeps a charge for a good while, but it's not very loud. Good for running some headphones into if you want a decent clean and little bit of gain. My favorite feature is the Bluetooth function. I can connect to my phone and play along with tracks from Spotify (search for drum and bass for guitar practice). Strap, cable, picks, etc are all very basic and that's not a bad thing. Overall, I would definitely recommend if you want to get started playing or looking for a cheap HSS Strat copy that won't break the bank. I would also imagine this would be an awesome gift for young people to get into playing music. I actually liked this guitar so much in ordered another Donner and will review after a little time.

Great guitar with portable small amp
The guitar look great. It sounds nice and accompanies items are perfect for beginner. This is my 2nd guitar. The AMP is small, portable by charged but it is enough for my room, it also supports bluetooth to play some background while playing that is cool. Guitar is low profile and it is easy to play. One small minus point is the tuner does not have battery in the product package, it needs one rs2032. Fortunately, I have it so that I can use the tuner to adjust sound right at getting the guitar to get some fun right away. Maybe, I need purchase a guitar stand. Anyway, the product is great and very happy.

Perfect budget package
My daughter has been interested in playing. I initially let her use one of my guitars, but my les paul and my strat are kind of too nice for a beginner learner guitar, so I wanted to find something she could lug around without me worrying about my babies. I was just going to buy a squire strat at Guitar Center and I stumbled on this package. I have to say, for the price, you get a lot of value. The little bluetooth amp actually sounds decent. It's not gonna blow the roof off, but for practice its perfectly fine. The guitar is a strat copy and it plays fairly well just right out of the box. The fit and finish were flawless. The color looks amazing too. Clip on tuner, strap, extra strings, capo, bag, picks, like good luck getting all that anywhere for this price. I plugged the guitar into my Marshall and played it just fine. The action is a bit high but that can be adjusted and for a beginner I think its great. Tuners feel a little dinky so if anything I might spend $15 on a set of decent tuners, but it's lightweight and sounds good.

This is a very impressive kit for the price. The DST-100 has a great sound and the finish is beautiful. What stands out most is that it’s such a well-rounded package—the included accessories aren't just 'fillers'; they are actually useful and decent quality. The amp is perfect for bedroom practice, and having the gig bag and strap included makes it easy to transport. If you're looking for a worry-free, complete starter set, look no further.

I was looking for an inexpensive 'beater' guitar that I could take with me anywhere and not worry about damaging it. I own a few USA Fender models and because of their value I didn't feel right about hauling them around. This kit includes all the bits that a beginner would need. In addition to the guitar you get a strap, cord, tuner, picks, capo and spare strings; plus a battery-powered mini-amp. If you're a guitar player then you would already have these items of course...but they are of good quality and certainly great to have as backups (or little presents to any young beginners you may be working with). The guitar itself looks great. The paint job is excellent and it looks very pleasing to the eye. You'd easily mistake it for a much more expensive guitar. The guitar was also very well packed, and I noted that they'd put a layer of protection between the fingerboard and the strings for shipping purposes. My last USA Fender that I bought in 2011 didn't even have this; and as a result there was some scarring on the frets from rubbing strings. But none of that with this Donner guitar. I didn't attach any pictures to this review because another reviewer did; mine arrived looking exactly the same. Quality-wise, I would rate this as equal to a Squier Affinity Stratocaster. The neck was easily adjustable and the bridge saddles are of good quality and very easily adjustable too. The action at the nut was acceptable and I was able to get it set up to my liking in the normal amount of time. Going over the fingerboard with my FretRocker, there were no high frets; an amazing thing for a guitar in this price range. One thing that helped me decide to try this Donner guitar was the humbucker configuration at the bridge; something that you'd pay quite a bit more to get in a Squier. The mini-amplifier that comes with the kit is an absolute blast! Yes, it's dinky but that's the beauty...it's so portable and sounds much better than you'd think. It has an AUX IN jack as well as a HEADPHONE OUT. There is a distortion channel that you can access by sliding a switch on the back of it. The included accessories are of good quality. Certainly better than what you'd expect in a beginner's kit. When you factor in the quality of the guitar, the utility of the amp and the accessories, you just can't beat the value of this package. For a beginner, it's literally EVERYTHING you need to get started. The fact that you get change back from a $200 bill is just amazing to me. I wish I'd had this when I first started playing guitar. I'd have saved myself some serious money.

I bought this guitar to learn how to play during the pandemic, I have zero experience playing guitar so I didn't want to spend a lot of money on it. The guitar is very nicely packaged and included a lot of extra goodies such as a tuner, a capo, strings, picks, a bag, a strap, and a tiny amp. I'll start off on the amp, it is tiny, like portable Bluetooth speaker tiny, but it sounds pretty good both clean and with distortion. I'd use it for practice sessions but never for any performance. The rechargable battery makes it quite compelling so I don't need to find a power source. Good item. The guitar body is very high quality, the neck is made of an excellent wood, it is smooth and the frets are not sharp. The body is modeled after the Stratocaster and looks fantastic and just holding the guitar gives a high quality feel. Now for playing and sound, first thing you do, take the strings off, they are terrible, with these strings the intonation is way outta whack where anything above fret 12 is too flat. And don't use the extra strings in the box either, get a set of Made in USA strings like D'Addario Nickel Wound XL. Second is to change the tuning pegs, the ones included keep slipping and have way too much play before they move the string. I would find they lose their tuning quite often during play and would need retuning. The included nut is a soft plastic and too deep which I changed out for a Tusq nut. For looks, I decided to change the pickguard to a black pickguard. Be warned that the screw positions on this guitar are mostly DIFFERENT than a Fender Stratocaster, so be prepared to drill holes, but the pickup holes inside the body can accommodate two humbuckers if you want to upgrade those. After rubbing some lemon oil on the fretboard, the dark wood looks fantastic. Finally for my next upgrade, I want to upgrade the pickups to Alnico V pickups, the included ones are "fine", but they pick up a lot of interference during play and don't really give the best possible sound. If you plan on upgrading this guitar, be very careful when removing the neck. Pull upwards, not outwards or you could chip the finish. In the end I spent quite of bit of money and time in this "starter" guitar to upgrade it to my liking, but I learned a lot along the way, and the body is high quality that the upgrades will be meaningful.
