The Flashpoint 10' Century C Stand Kit is a worthy carrier of the time honored C Stand tradition of secure and powerful light and modifier supports for cinema and still studios. The C Stand kit features a 10', two tier spring loaded riser column with a baby pin on top, removable turtle self locking base legs, 2 aluminum 3.0" grip heads and a 40" extension boom arm. The stand base features a specially designed sure locking mechanism that is unique to the C Stand series. Each leg firmly sets to a preset lock position for easy swing setup and then flat for compact storage and transport. Individual legs can be swung to any angle, breaking out of fixed leg stance of classic stands. The 'Turtle Base' provides an exceptionally low center of gravity, balancing off axis gear without tipping the assembly, especially when secured with saddlebag style sandbags. The unique staggered curved leg design allows C Stands to be nested allowing for several to be used in close proximity. The lower leg can also be slid under many objects. The kit's extension gobo rod arm precisely slips into the aluminum 3.0" grip heads, supporting light modifiers, arms, scrims, cantilever flags, gobos or smaller lights, into exact position. These stands are worth the money!!!
I do mostly outdoor or location photo shoots, since where I live the weather typically allows me to shoot outdoors year round and the locations are definitely not always even!!! These stands are heavy duty and they hold up under some seriously windy conditions!!! I purchased 3 of them at once and I carry them in a artillery rifle case that has wheels on it so I can get all 3 of them from point A to point B at one time. They are not light weight but when you have hundreds or thousands of dollars worth of OCF equipment attached to them you really don't want something that is just going to fall over with the first little breeze. The turtle legs are amazing and allow you place these stands in areas you would never be able to put a regular light stand. I absolutely LOVE them and they are a must have for me!

Overall Very Happy
I've been using these for over a year now and used them on over 50 projects. They are sturdy even when extended out all the way and well built. I am actually about to buy a fourth one.The Gobo heads aren't the best because they aren't spring loaded but they work fine. If you want a nicer head just replace them which I did on two of mine.The only negative is the rubber grip. It is has fallen off on one of the three I own and the other two are about to fall off. This isn't a big deal at all since most c stands don't even come with a grip.

Not a light weight stand, but wouldn't expect it to be.
These are well made C-Stands. Heavy and constructed well. I expect a C-Stand to be heavy as they tend to be asked to carry more weight and stability than a typical light stand.

NO LIGHT WEIGHT
The seller did a great job getting my order out. This was my 2nd order in a week for the same item because of the speed in shipping and quality of this stand. I order one to try out and was very happy all around. I now have four . Wish I had try the C-stands first . Just some fast photos of the stands. First two photo is holding a Neewer Vision 5 overhead with a Nikon SB700 in a soft box lighting from the back. The next two playing with setup I have a Neewer 600w hss off to the side with a Vision 5 back right. You won't go wrong with these.
