Spigen Tough Armor [Military Grade] Designed for iPhone XR Case 6.1 inch - Black

I have had an otter case for years! It finally became unserviceable after the bottom left corner began to tear. Time to buy another one, but wait! I delved into the world of other possibilities. Glad I did! This cover is amazing! Phone just simply slips in and has smooth cover side buttons. Kickstand in the rear. Best thing is that it is way sleeker and slimmer than the otter. I haven’t tried dropping it yet but it seems sturdy yet sleek. While the otter may be sturdier? This is cheaper and I think it is a great replacement.

So I bought this this past December for my new IPhone XR. I've been paranoid for the longest time of my breaking or suffering from fall damage so I did extensive research. What had won me over originally with this was the sleek armor design the case was promoting as well as the little stand in the back to prop your phone like a TV screen. It has now been 6 months and I can say I am happy with this purchase! I am an outdoors kind of guy where I love to hike but am also extremely clumsy. There have been countless times where I am hiking and have dropped my phone, where at the moment, I would freak out thinking my phone was gone. Sure enough this case took the hit and protected my phone. There are a few times (like 4 or 5) where there have been a serious fall and resulted in a scratch on the case. Since it has a matte finish and not a glossy one, the scratches are hardly noticeable (unless you are looking for them) and it gives it more of a rugged design (which I am a fan of). The little TV stand on the back has been a bless in disguise for me! There are times where I am on a flight or sitting at my desk and I want to watch some Netflix or Hulu. After a while holding your phone, my hand tends to cramp up. With the stand, however, I can prop my phone up, put my Bluetooth head phones on, sit back and binge watch all day on my phone! No more holding and it literally turns my phone into a convenient little TV screen for travel. Overall, I love my purchase of this case. It is a well designed case with good protection and added features. The only draw back is that it is a "2 part case", a part that goes around the phone and another that clamps it in place. Other two part cases I've had were annoying and noticeable, but this case I can't even tell. I feel the two part case actually stays on tougher because of that, offering more protection. Besides that, this has been a case I have enjoyed since day 1!!

This is my family's forth Spigen case. We get them for virtually every cell phone we own... including my work phone. These cases are sturdy, provide excellent combined characteristic protection, look good, and have some great features. Sturdiness wise, this particular case is stout! It doesn't deform within what I consider to be a normal range of applied force, even a little. It snaps into place when the phone is put in, and it provides reasonable resistance to removal. Protection wise, this case provides what we in the military call defense in depth. The stiff plastic layer provides protection from penetration and crushing damage to my phone. The hard plastic is very strong and hasn't shown damage yet... and between me and my 5-year old, I'm not kind to my device. The inside rubber layer is just stiff enough to hold its shape, but is resilient enough to protect against shock damage (think shock absorber.) This gives the maximum protection for a device expected for a cast that does not fully enclose a device. My only complaint for protection is that there is no integrated screen protection, and it does not provide dust or water protection like some other brands. However, I am not looking for that in a daily use case for my work phone. In terms of looks, I appreciate the aesthetic of this case. It is relatively slim, but the angles bezels and flat back make it a great companion for the IXR phone. For features, I love the exposed apple window, the finger rest adjacent to the camera hole, the access for the silence switch, and the alignment and functionality of the button protectors. However, my favorite feature is the kickstand in back. This makes media consumption while on travel easy and provides a handy assistant for video calls. I am loyal to this brand for a reason, and each new case I purchase renews that loyalty. I can honestly say that this is a must as I have abandoned previous brands when they failed me.

The ONLY reason it didn’t get five stars is because of the kickstand. It works well, but it’s a little flimsy. The rest of the case is great. Low profile, fits easily into the holder in my truck and works fine with my wireless chargers. I’ve accidentally dropped it a few times from about 4 feet a nothing happened. Once it hit on a corner with no damage. Other cases I’ve used always broke the screen protector, not this one!

Great product, easy to put on. Doesn’t protect screen much so needed a screen protector. Will update if I ever drop my phone. Update a year later: it’s been a year and guess what? I have switched my case multiple times but always come back to this Spigen Tough armor case. It isn’t because I love the look of it but what keeps me coming back is that sleek little stand!! I have tried pop sockets and they don’t stand easy, I also can’t use a flat charger that you lay your phone on to charge with a pop socket but this little stand doesn’t interfere with charging. I also love watching videos and Netflix on my phone so use that kickstand almost every single day!! I have also dropped my phone multiple times and it hasn’t cracked or anything. It is sleek which I love cuz I can easily slip it in and out of my purse but I will say it is a little slippery so good thing my phone hasn’t broken. Knock on wood!! One thing Inprefer a pop socket for though is it’s easier to hold the phone without oak o dropping it but I always come back to this stand and unlike Otterbox this design has no stretched out which is why I quit using Otterbox for my Apple devices. Very pleased!

Très bonne protection pour mon iPhone XR avec un languette au dos pour permettre de voir l’écran en oblique quand vous le posez ! Après l’avoir fait tomber plusieurs fois, je viens de changer la protection qui est la même après 3-4 ans

Avevo bisogno di una cover il più resistente possibile per il mio iPhone nuovo, e nonostante il design non mi facesse propriamente impazzire, mi sono lasciata convincere dalle recensioni che affermavano che il telefono fosse caduto anche dal secondo piano e non si fosse fatto nemmeno graffiato, e ho provato a dare una possibilità a questa cover. Il telefono finora mi è caduto solo una volta, non da grandi altezze, ma è caduto direttamente con lo schermo a terra, e sul vetro temperato nemmeno un graffio (perché la cover è leggermente rialzata rispetto allo schermo). Sono completamente soddisfatta, al design ci si abitua quasi subito, e adesso addirittura mi piace. Alcuni commenti dicono che si sporchi facilmente, in realtà si pulisce ancora più facilmente. (L'unica cosa che potrebbe disturbare è che, ovviamente, inspessisce di molto il telefono, si perde un po' il design sottile e leggero dell'iPhone. Ma, personalmente, non mi importa.)
