I considered other devices that did more or less the same thing and opted for the Alzo in part due to the flash bracket. The kit is complete and allows for great versatility in conditions that do not allow the lighting controls of a studio setting. I found reversing the camera allowed for the following: 1) I am able to naturally hold the camera by the grip thus making it easier to flip the camera 2) When shooting in manual mode I can reach the dials to make adjustments 3) When shooting vertically it's much more comfortable and natural to use my left pointer finger to press the trigger and it greatly prevents camera shake As indicated, I had some minor issues which were speedily resolved: 1) The screw used to tighten the umbrella malfunctioned (the black rubber "thumb" knob turned), it was replaced with an all-metal screw 2) The screw to tighten the trigger also malfunctioned (would not hold it tightly), that screw was also replaced. It goes without saying that the bracket adds weight, there is no getting around that. I use a D700 with Nikon's MB-D10 battery grip plus the Yongnuo YN-622N TXi together with the YN-622N wireless trigger. The lens that remains on my camera for now is Nikon's 27-70mm f/2.8 and that hunk of steel does contribute a considerable amount of weight to the setup. It take a while to get used to the weight in my case. Considering the other devices on the market and from the experience I've had with this flash bracket I'll buy it again without a doubt. I highly recommend it. By the way, I forgot to mention that I got next day delivery.
