Firehawk FHB10 Long Life Smoke Alarm with 10 Year Battery - Used and recommended by UK Fire and Rescue Services

Bought this for an elderly relative. I've used these before though. The fact that the batteries don't need to / cannot be changed makes it very low maintenance. Not that smoke alarms need much maintenance anyway.It's a small unit and very discreet but seems to work well. Obviously I've never used it in a real event but the testing works well, alarm is loud and clear. Of all the ones of these I've used I've only ever had one go faulty - false positives. Replacing it was easy and the price makes it even better.

I don't try to save money when buying safety equipment. This sounds like a reliable alarm. Safety first, east to install, looks good and decent size. Happy.

Just replaced the same one after 5 years.Like other reviewers, the battery only lasted 5 years. Otherwise an excellent alarm and simple to fit. New one fitted into existing base plate, taking seconds to install.

10 years ago the Fire Service fitted these for free. As they reached their 10 year life, I obviuosly replaced with these excellent recommended smoke alrams. Did not begrudge paying for them this time for the peace of ming they give.

This is the third smoke alarm that I bought for our property, this month. This one was recommended by a fire woman who is a friend of the family. We were advised to install in the hall downstairs. It is fairly small.
