I used to get readers at the DT. Then I discovered transition lens readers and won't ever buy the crappy ones from DT again. This pair from Bencaley is a very well made frame and the lenses are nice. The transition lens is indeed strong at the bottom. The problem I have is that the part that makes the print clear ends a bit too far down, meaning that I have to really tilt my head upwards to read my laptop screen. These glasses do not seem like blue blocking lenses at all. Normally with blue blocking, there is a noticeable difference when putting them on and taking them off while looking at a screen. There is no noticeable difference with these lenses. I do have a preference when it comes to transition readers with blue block lenses, and that is the skyoak brand, also available on Amazon.

These feel and act like true progressives. There’s always a beginning period for the eyes to get adjusted to new progressive lenses and these were the same. Before I wore them outside, I wore them inside …and had my eyes get adjusted to them. (i.el, going from reading to Watching tv, the computer, etc.) and initially I had to move them on the bridge of my nose..just a bit. The quality is good and they’re comfortable to wear. My lenses are 250 and the strength for reading is spot on. It’s nice to be able to read and look up at the tv and be able to see..

I am on gabapentin due to a serious back surgery that caused additional complications. That drug has made me go from better than 20/20 to whatever the day decides. I accidentally stumbled upon the fact that diet Rx glasses were a thing. First pair I ever had, were amazing. Thet were not this brand. I've had additional pairs of those I've had pairs a respected drugstore brand. These companies (respected or unknown) are all making these in China and from what I can tell, they're sourcing their lenses from the same place (I'm sure there are a few). I've never achieved the quality of my first pair, including the pair that I have from the drugstore that were 5 times what these are. I was hoping these would be better given their "upgraded" but no, they are good for nothing. The top area has more magnification in the center area. They quote and quote progress towards more magnification from Center to any plane high or low. Absolutely no distance, even if you're talking six feet. I hope every batch out of the Chinese lens machine isn't going to be this bad going forward.I hate beating up on a manufacturer using the same crappy batch everybody else just got, but this company is the only one that I ran across claiming something was upgraded. If that was an upgrade, they ruined them for my eyes.

I bought these, based on other types from the past..when you go to see something close the bottom 1/8th works-you have to look down thru them..the lense correction is not spaced correctly 1/3rds..they look nice, but lenses do not do what is needed..
